Question about Namsung XD6320 CD Player

Open Question

XD6320 cd player power cycle itself often

I purchased a XD6320 cd/radio and installed into my toyota previa. The problem I am having is that the unit would reset( power cycle) every now and than. Sometime, I can listen to two or three songs an then shut itself off. Sometime I didn't even get to finish one song, then shut itself off. Every time shut itself off, I can power it back on. I need help to troubleshoot this problem. I installed the unit with a wire adapter kit. I also consulted with the stereo diagram from a book which is for the vehicle and it indicates that my ground and power are correctly wired. FYI: I did tried and reversed the RED accessory wire and the YELLOW memory wire from the XD6320 wiring diagram but they did not make any different. The blue wires are insulated. Thanks.

SOURCE: need wiring diagram for older (DB1210) AM/FM/CD

Rick, your best solution may be to open the stereo up. In some late model stereos the board is labeled. For example you may see +B, for +12 volt, ign for ignition, gd for ground, etc., I will try to find more information for you but try the above and see if it helps. Thanks.

I have problem with CD player.

The drive tries to read the CD but fails, then "resets" to try again. It is likely the complete unit will have to be replaced even though the other functions work.

Different or additional harness needed to install a Kenwood kdc 255u radio/cd player in a 2005 Scion XB?

Hi there,

YES.... to prevent cutting of any factory wiring (this use to be the old install method and requires much more time and expense) and potential electrical fires, you can now buy quite cheaply, what is called a Radio adapter harness.

As you wish to install a Kenwood radio to your Toyota Scion, simply buy an adapter loom which has a 2005 Toyota Plug on one end, with a Kenwood plug on the other (this essentially replaces the wiring loom that came with your Kenwood unit).

So, it's that easy .... Plug and Play.

And... if you sell your Toyota and wish to put your old Toyota radio back in, the original radio just plugs back in. PRESTO !

Hope this helps..

I have power to the radio, cd, and tape player but the display light indicating what station i have on the radio will not light up therefore i do not what station i am listening to. Would you please tell...

If it is a detachable face radio, you can try cleaning the contacts between the headunit and the face. IF this does not fix the problem, you will need to purchase another face for the unit or have it serviced. Hope this helped.

I purchased a Catalina Hot Tub that has a KDC-MP228 installed. The radio works however the CD player does count, recognizing the disc however there is no audio coming from the pop up speakers located on...

It sounds like the stereo has got some faulty circuitry internally. You'll need to replace the unit to be able to listen to CDs in your hot tub. you may want to look into getting a marine radio as a replacement. I'm sure this will be more suited to this application and is probably the kind that should have come with the tub in the first place. I hope this helps and good luck!

I tried to install my cd player and the ground hit another wire i think and now i have know power to the radio and i checked the fuse and did not blow

check the fuse on your auto, to see if that is ok, the one that powers your audio system, and also check the fuse/fuses for the radio unit itself.Alternatively, the unit has died

JBL MR-4 CD doesn't eject

The unit probably doesn't think there is a CD inside. Possible doing a soft reset will fix this. Do so by powering the unit and putting a ball point or other pointed object into the reset button opening either on the face of the radio or behind the face. A hard reset can be done by disconnecting constant power from the unit for approximately 15 seconds.
If either of these methods fail, then your unit has a bad CD mechanism or more than 1 CD inside the player. In that case, the unit will have to be serviced by an electronics repair or a local stereo shop. This is a Marine radio, and if installed on a boat, this problem is not too uncommon. Moist air can cause damage to the unit as well as the bouncing on the water that boats do.
