What if there are clothes stuck under the agitator ? How do you disassemble it ? cabrio washer
You really have clothes stuck under the "wash plate" it has almost zero clearance and would be very hard to get something stuck under the wash plate.
if you do have something stuck, then remove the 1 1/2 inch cap in the center of the plate, then a 7/16th bolt that holds the plate down. then grab the wash plate and lift up to remove it.
next time check your pockets and dont let this happen again, it could ruin the outertub by cutting a hole thru it and then leaking.
The clothes do not go under the plate they spin out of the top and fall over the side, this is because socks and underwear are either overloaded or spun out, this can be solved by reducing the load size and also spinning small clothing items on lower speeds, but the solution above is very helpful for getting the clothes out, but you will need a long pair of needle nose pliars to pull the clother out of the bottom of the tub. This problem presented itself by a "LD" error (long drain) Thanks tzweeb and I hope this helps others
Pull the liquid softener dispenser off the top of the agitator. Pull the clear plastic cap out of the center of the agitator. Use a ratchet and socket set to remove the hex head bolt from the center of the agitator. Lift the top half of the agitator out of the washer. Pull the bottom half of the agitator straight up to remove it from the drive motor shaft, and remove the bottom half of the agitator from the Cabrio washer.

Problems arent the pocket items. My apron ties get caught, tank top straps, socks, JEANS get wrapped a sucked into that area. I too have the same problems. I guess its just this machine that EATS clothing.
