Broken TV I have a Daewoo 42" Plasma TV Model #PD42SM when I turn it on the green light comes on but there is no picture or sound. Plase help A TV repair technician said it was a bad power supply which has no after market. I think the power supply is okay. I have power through the fuse and I'm getting a green light back to the front of the TV.

If the power light stays green then the current absorbed by the different boards appear to be normal. If that is the case then most likely you have a bad contact in the data cables or in the mainboard.
You will need to open the tv, inspect for damage and reseat all the components then (if that doesn't fixes it, you will need to extract the mainboard and check the soldering on the board and the status of the processor.

Power board require changing.It dead.

Sounds like your panel might be going out or a faulty video card. This is the first time I have heard of a solid pink screen on a plasma. Usually this happens on LCDs, though they sometimes go white and stay white, which does signal a bad panel. tv needs repair

Hi i have a pilips 42" plasma tv (42PF5320/79) i can hear clicking the green light is on and the tv will go into stand by if i press the power button and the red light also comes on .I have turned it on and off and it works now nothing just the light on the front as if its working looking at the back through the slots two green lights come on then the tv clicks and they turn off,thanks

Just answered this on a different one. I have the Daewoo Plasma Digital Dream model dp-42sm, My dads tv expert friend looked at it and told us the ysus board was out. I got on ebay and bought the item from a store for 125 dollars used tested good with 12 dollar shipping, I put the part in myself it was very simple just take your time dont try and rush you have to take the actual bar the stand hooks onto off and the 2 boards going into the ysus board. It fixed the problem and is still in working order im using it now as the computer monitor.

There is a small switch on back of main board, that switch must be on high level. If it doesn't solve problem then you must replace x-board (the right hand side one looking from the back TV)

Theoretically yes functionally no. Not unless the parts are the same, chack the model numbers of the plasma screens. If they match you can change them out, if not don't try it.

no kidding? what is the problem so prevelant in this unit? obvious design flaw.
