Question about Pioneer AVIC-S2 GPS Receiver

Pioneer GPS as below

I have a gps looks like a AVIC-S2won't turn on, seems to not hold a charge,tried turning it on and off on the back of it cheers Hugh

How to force pioneer u310bt gps to search for satellites


Hello,

The GPS should automatically search for satellites unless it is in Demo or Simulation mode.

Be sure to turn of the Demo mode.
Use the Navigation screen and touch the Demo button to turn on or off the mode.

Please check if the power adapter is giving voltage output. You can try using a different power adapter.

Avic-S2 no GPS signal


for your small problem buy an extended range antenna for the pioneer avic model that you have to extend the antenna range of the GPS. They're inexpensive look around you'll find one. I own one and it works great with my Avic S1 and no more dropped signals...................It connects to the back of your Gps through the small hole that is gold that is where you connect the antenna................
