Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player

Won't download books

Was working fine. Tryed to download library books on my new imac and it seems to have corrupted everything. Now cannot download from imac or pc. Get error message that the sansa cannot create folder and that the sansa 4g does not support this function. Sometimes it does download but when I find the book it either won't go to play (stays at pause) or only plays the last "part" even though all parts are on the player. Help

To get rid of that message, you need to connect your Sansa to your computer and open the Rhapsody software to "deauthorize" your Sansa (assuming that you're not going to be using the Rhapsody service). Have you tried a converter to change your file formats into mp3 so that it should work. use download.com to find good, well working mp3 converters.

SOURCE: downloaded books from the library won't play

I was having the same problem when I used Overdrive Media Console to transfer my audiobook files to my Sansa. I updated the license and retransferred and even tried changing the USB settings on the mp2 player. What finally worked? Using Windows Media Player to sync the files instead. When I hooked up my Sansa I chose "use WMP to sync files" and then I dragged/dropped the audiobook files to the mediaplayer window. The audiobook now plays without any problems since WMP made sure the files have the latest subscription update code.

I report a solution from Portable player FAQ, let me know if it works:
1. Delete the title in the Overdrive Media Console program.
2. Then log into the Audiobook site at http://e.hbpl.org and click on My Account, My eItems Checked Out, and click the Download button the website to re-download the book.
3. Transfer the newly downloaded parts to your player.

you have to make sure the format of the ebook is compatable with the format that is needed for the sansa fuze.

Kobo ebooks content locked


I had this problem couple of times with plenty of books were 'locked' or 'corrupted'. It seems like the problems (always) happened after update.
Signing out (this will delete books from the device) and then sign in again (this will re-sync device to account's library) could solved my problem. Took a little while to reload all of the contents but it worked for me.
It seems like we can make it more simple by deleting the related books from the device (not from library!) and re-sync the device. But I haven't tried it since I don't rename files of books, then it would be harder to find which file is what book. Easier for me to 'clean' everything that reload it again.

My iMac froze and won't reboot


Your question is incomplete. Your imac froze and wont reboot. What you see on screen when you start it? Do you see a spining wheel or a folder sign with a question mark or a blue screen? If yes then it's either corrupt/damaged osx or bad hard drive.

My Nook Library has disappeared on my Nook-how do I restore it?


Download all the archived and unarchived books and save them to your computer. Never deleted these.
You have two options for the archived books.
Un-archive them and they will appear on your nook and download as you see fit.
OR... Sideload them. Which is probably what you did before since archived books already disappear from your My B&N Library and would have had to be in your My Documents Library.
Not exactly sure what you mean by 'does not go to my nook' when you try and save/download from the website.

If still having any kind of issue then you can take nook support from experts or call nook help number.

You may need to delete some registry folders on you computer, you can check on this link to see the steps:

Also, the DO NOT DISCONNECT message is normal operation while the reader is connected, to have this message disappear you may need to safely remove hardware on the system tray

The message that you are not allow to copy the book, you may need to check if you are using the same ebookstore account, if you are using the same, follow these steps:

1. Connect the reader
2. Sign in to you ebook account
3. Click on my account link at the top
4. Click Manage Devices link
5. You will get a message that a new device is detected, click on authorize
6. You will be asked to reauthorize the device

PRS-300 All the books I import into the library will not sync into the reader. Some books that I purchased are coming up the the reader won't support them even though they are epub files.

You can try to delete the books and redownload them again, probably something got corrupted.

To Redownload books:

1. Open the Reader Library
2. Sign In to you account
3. Click "My Account" link at the top of the page
4. Scroll down and click the link that says "Redownload purchased Items"
5. Click the download button
6. Transfer your books again

I have a slick ereader er 700-2 that won't sync any of my latest ebooks onto the ereader. How can i fix this?


Hi, this is conrard.
if your reader will not sync with your ebooks. try to use the adobe digital editions (http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/)
download the app then download the epub/pdf format of the book. Use the ADE to transfer the book(drag&drop the book in the slick reader)
