Question about Kenmore 22422 Top Load Washer
When the washer gets to the rinse cycle, it stops. I have to turn the dial all the way around back to the rinse cycle and slam the lid down hard to get it to start again and this works. Maybe you think its the lid switch that has to be replaced. Help. sincerely Ruben.
I had the same problem and it was a broken switch that prevents the washing machine from going into spin with the the top door open. The switch is located in the upper left corner, you can see 2 screws that hold it in. Reach under and check that the middle point when pressed pulls the ends where the actual switch is, you should hear a click.
I was able to temporarly repair by focing the swtich to always be depressed with 2 strips of duct tape. - Warning the washer will go into spin cycle with the top open.
