ok.... instant ink is a subscription service that sends you ink on a monthly basis according to how many pages you told them you print. that cartridges fit you machine, so yes you CAN use them, you paid for them upfront. there is no penalty for canceling, no annual fees, etc. The only thing you will lose is the recycling of your old cartridges..whoopie.....
I suppose you already have all the setup of e-mail, right??? (like SMTP server; authentications; etc).
Just answer this question: Did this machine has ever sent a e-mail???
If the answer is YES follow this instructions; If the answer is NO reply to me for setup the e-mail config.
If you already have a user memorized just touch the Scanner function and select your user (after putting the document) and start (green key).
If you do not have a user memorized touch insert manual (on the screen) and write your destination (e-mail address).
Any doubt reply to me
well if the recipt is in electronic format save it as a file to your desktop[ and then open email address the email to the person to receive the receipt and use the ATTACH option to find and open the file. The recipt will then be placed in the header and when you send it will be posted. The only thing you have to worry about is do they have the software to read the format that the recipt was written in.
Sometimes better to copy and paste the details into an email and include the receipt number and the date etc.
That way they can reqad it and prinbt it out without trying to find a program to open and read it.
Do you have send feature? If you do, go to additional functions, system settings, network settings, and scroll down to e-mail/fax, then input SMTP address and e-mail account set-up for the machine, reboot and you can now sent e-mail.
Install the Control Center CC3, if it is not already installed. Connect the MFC-5460CN to the computer. Open the CC3 software. Click the Scan button. You will have the choice to Scan to Picture, Scan to OCR, Scan to E-mail, or Scan to file.
You click to E-mail. The MFC scans the document and opens the default E-mail program (Outlook, Outlook Express), attaches the scanned picture and all that is left for you to do is to supply the E-mail address where the document is to be sent.
If you have problems doing that, scan to file then open the E-mail client to create a new message and attach the file you scanned.
Yes,you do have to buy the sent kit.But remember the sent kit Scan to e-mail and not directly to the computer.Your company have to have a mail server to be able to work properly.Adobe have software that you can buy that chance word document to PDF.
Add the email address where you have to send mail in the device front panel. Click the ScanTO button on the device.Device should be connected to network and mail exchange server should be setup. Scan the document and sent it.
This accurs at our location from time to time. Due to the use of GroupWise e-mail; on some mailboxes settings or some messages were added to Junk mail or Blocked mail settings... Receipient actually did receive but settings in Junk Mail or Blocked mail deleted the e-mail before it was received. This only has to be something simular to subject sent by Digital Sender.
Solution: have receipient empty all Junk mail settings.
