picked up this tv for free,problem is seems like no red in picture just blue and green.any ideas on fixing or approximate cost?

Love the set/picture when I have all three colors. Most recently the red went out. It comes and goes so I don't think it's serious. Which connections do I look for to see if the solder contacts are loose?

if u know about fixing appliances, u may open it and check the CRT Board for looose solder on the three color driver transistor or the IC Pins that's responsible for the color. simply soldering the pins and components nearby may fixed the problem. More serious cases may need a true technician.
