Re: jensen q2749j

If u know about fixing appliances, u may open it and check the CRT Board for looose solder on the three color driver transistor or the IC Pins that's responsible for the color. simply soldering the pins and components nearby may fixed the problem. More serious cases may need a true technician.

I need to know what do if my jensen tv screen goes blue and a red lock has appaired in the top right corner

With my APEX Television, this means that the parental settings have been changed so that the TV will not let me watch certain Television show or movie ratings. Just go into the Tv's menu and look for parental controls. This should require a password to change. I would either suggest passwords 0000 or 1234
(My parental settings were my father's birthday year, so try something like that)

Our Jensen has no color. We have picture and sound, but in black and white. The display settings on the screen are in color. Anything I can do? The model is TS2750J. It's only 2 years old!

There are different types of color settings and systems - NTSC, PAL and SECAM. Are you sure the correct one is selected ? If yes then the problem is in the decoder and must be replaced since the chip cannot be fixed. This is a job for a pro.

Picture problem

Usualy this is a power supply, or video processing fault, or CRT bias circuit fault. The set has to be properly troubleshooted to determine the fault.

Pink screen

Is your grey scale or Black and white programming pink?? Thats an indication that the green and blue grids on the picture tube are week or that the red is over driving. First thing is take off the back of the set. Find the end of the picture tube and look at the printed curcuit board there. see if you can find and red drive controls there. Put on a black and white pic and ever so slowly rock that red drive control a little at a time till the picture looks almost normal.. If you get it to be a little \less pink then stop right there but if it starts to get a bit green or blue then try rocking those controls all back and forth till you get the bese B&W picture you can BUT BE VERY CAREFULL as there is alot of voltage on this picture tube and if your not carefull it will bite ya. Now dont be too critical as the tube is a bit weak so you probably wont get a perfact grey scale so if after a while live with it or get a new set. Good Luck.
