Re: it wont take videos!!

You need full batteries- the green battery sign needs to be up.

Re: it wont take videos!!

I can only guess that a SD (secure digital) card is suspect. these cards have a switch to either allow or deny writes. try switching it.

A200 faulty selector switch

Same thing happened mine. Take out battery and leave camera for a few weeks until internal cell goes flat. Switch to "stills" mode and put battery back in. You will need to reset the date and time. LEAVE SWITCH IN "STILLS" mode for ever more.

I have a 4 year old Canon SD 600 and these days it defaults to video mode even in photo mode. I have tried everything, taking out the battery for a long time and putting it back, but always stays on video...

If you have tried to move the switch on the back between the stillphoto, view and video setting, and it does not change modes, the cameras life is as you put it, over.

I couldn't find the manual online but the picture of the camera shows a "mode" button. I'll bet if you press it, a video mode will show up somewhere.

Vivicam 3750 not working

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

Camera Videos wont download properly

Videos generally run in AVI mode. When putting pictures into the computer, place them in the "My videos" folder instead of the "My pictures" folder. This should solve your problem.

try another USB port, on the back of the computer. My fromt ones are low power and dont work on half of my devices! Also, reboot the PC when the camera is plugged in, maybe itll pick it up. The camera may be drive mode and not picture mode. I have seen some strange things on 3rd party cameras. My Sony DSC-30 puts all videos in a folder that Picasa never sees, or deletes. I found a 2 year old video in there when I was looking around on the memory stick.

Protected feature

There are 2 probable solutions. 1. The images are "protected" by the camera & will show "locked" when you try to erase them. 2. The SD card in the camera is locked. The solution to 1 is to unlock the images in the playback menu. See page 46 of the manual. Note that you need to select "unlock" you can't select protect as they are already protected! Solution 2 is to remove the card from the camera & check the "lock" slider that you can see on the side (although no all cards have this). Set the lock off. You can download the manual from the first link on the following page: Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
