Problem for Webroot Spy Sweeper (spysweeper) for PC
Spysweeper will not sweep
This has been going on the past month. PC keeps telling me that my spysweeper has not run for so many days, but it won't let me do it manually either. It also tells me that I have 4 critical things that are off. When I bring the screen up to put them on it won't let me. Help....I'm not protected and this is a new computer. Best Buy put everything I needed in when I bought it.

Hey Kitty. My guess would be your subscription to spysweeper expired. I would not be horribly concerned with losing it. You can keep your computer secure for free.
The first way viruses and spyware infect your PC is through your browser. If you are not using firefox to surf the net I suggest you change over to it.
Next, let PC Pitstop do a scan of your PC. When the scan is finished it will tell you where your security holes are. And what you can do to improve your PC performance.
There are also free spyware programs on the web. Microsoft Windows Defender is one of the better Microsoft products and does a decent job against spyware. There are also spyware guard, spyware blaster, spybot search and destroy, adaware, and others.
Good luck and safe surfing.
