Question about Technics SC-DV290 System

TECHNICS SC-CH550 STEREO SYSTEM

System has started turning itself off when volume is turned up on both cd and tuner. This does not happen as soon as you increase volume but 1/2 minutes later. It continues to run ok if volume is kept down.

Hi

I belive that you have a lot of dust how is gatherd behind the system in the amplifier and it is preventing it to cool down you need to blow it clean and make sure that you keep the system gets cool air

if the temp in the amplifier gets to high it shut down the system instand of burning it very clever solution from the manufacturer

you have a very good system good luck

Doesn't matter what order the 3.5mm are wired up in. As long as one connects to another in a daisy chain, data will jump from one to the other to give remote operation or auto source changing

Technics SA-DV290 Amp. Sound cuts out as volume is increased

hello it sound like the output ic may be in trouble you may have just dry joint on the ic which just resolder it . or there could be a capacitor leaking or they may have swelled up in which you will have to replace. it's best to do some visual checks first i'e look for any burnt parts any capacitor with bulging tops

Sc-ch550.any idea at all y it is switching itself off when ya turn up the volume loud?

It could be number of thing such as defective speaker, fan or fan control circuit, power amp fault etc. You can try to disconnect speakers one at a time and see if any of them causing a problem.

My promblem is that my technics keep say overload

Wires may be crossed here. The positive and negative, make sure all connections are proper. Also if this is happening while say you are listening to music from an external source try to turn the volume down on the external device.

Technics DVD Stereo SC-DV290

never done this myself, but I would guess you take phono jacks from your TV (L & R out) and plug them into the back of the sound processor, iether VDP(AUX) or VCR(EXT) IN
then go to your remote and press (vcr(ext)/vdp(aux) repeat pressing until you hear you tv
each time you press button it should go through a selector menu
TUNER->DVD->TAPE>VCR(EXT)->VDP(AUX)

hope this helps
