You could try, but most likely its the hoses that are reversed. try that first i'll bet you it'll solve the problem.

SOURCE: Had the Moen L82691 installed

I think Moen is one of the easiest to work on and most trouble free there is. The only problems I have ever encouneterd with them is the mixing valve. This is the parts breakdown:
http://www.moen.com/shared/docs/exploded-parts-views/l82691pt.pdf
and a video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-SNBNijfQc
Of course you handle would have the set screw that holds it on. I would go to who ever you got the valve from and see if they will give you a new valve or, the video states Moen may provide a new one free. It's also possible, being a new install, that you may have had junk in your water lines that have now plugged the cold side of the valve. If you have some help, you may want to have someone taht can turn water off and on(slowly), cold first, and see waht kind of flow you have with valve out. Check for trash in the line and the valve first.

Very common to get debris like rust stuck behind your valve or in the aerator in the shower head. Try taking off the shower head and cleaning the screen and discs. If the junk is behind the valve you'll have to shut the water off and remove the valve. Careful, there's a retaining clip that has to be taken out. There's a specialty tool for Moen valves (costs about $30. to help pull the valve assembly). Good luck

How to install moen adler shower faucet

Doug-

Moen makes six models of the Adler shower faucet. You can find the specific installation manual for the faucet you have on their website, at LINK. Select the unit you have and open the PDF of the manual on the following page.

Installed a new moen adler tub faucet with shower diverter. When you turn on the shower water continues to come out of the tub faucet. Is there an adjustment or is it just the way it is??

Our Moen always dribbled a little since the diverter is metal-to-metal and doesn't really have any seal. The loss shouldn't be a stream though.

I installed a Moen Adler faucet. It will not shut

You may just have a piece of sediment lodged in the cartridge from when the water was shut off during installation. Carefully remove the cartridge and turn the water on to flush out any obstructions. re install the cartridge and test.

Low water pressure

When it was installed was there any copper sweating done? If so, the valve cartridge can get fried if not removed prior to the immense heat from a torch.
