Question about GPS
Either (from my view) a bad battery or the point where it connects is damaged (does not apply if unit will work with it plugged up)
Battery or battery pack should have generic number on it.
Some of the cheap originals they use last about a year or less.

Mine does the same, the light comes on on the charger, but not on the TomTom unit itself. There is clearly a loose connection in the cable somewhere as you can twist the flex and make it work, although this is not very reliable.
I just use a USB charger from an old phone instead.

It is possible that the cvar charger fuse has blown. Undo the tip and remove and replace !amp fuse and all should be fixed.
