Question about Refrigerators
White to red should read 12Vdc. Since you read the correct voltage and used white as the reference, you have your neutral. This can only mean that the manufacturer has shipped out a bad new part. Re-order and send the other back for exchange or or order it here.

Ended up having a freon leak in tubing around door. Luckly the warranty was 5 years in sealed system. New one was FREE.

I'm ready to help you when you are. Zero may just be off on that model but if fans run then the compressor is also getting power and overheating. The start relay and components that keep the compressor going are what important now. Don't leave plugged in or the internal overload may damage. I will wait for a reply, Sea Breeze

Your refrigerator compressor is either pumping or it is not. Set the refrigerator to low temperature, pull it out and listen for a while to see it the compressor is coming on. If it is coming on then there may be a freon leak or the internal coils may be iced up. If it is not coming on, then either there is no power to the coompressor, or the compressor itself is defective. Use a voltmeter at the compressor to check for voltage. There is also an add on device to start stuck compressors from your local HIVAC jobber store.
