We just brought our machine to north america. We went to prime it as per instructions but water is not being drawn from the resevoir. It makes a slight humming noise, the machine gets slightly warmer, and the light keeps blinking but the water does not flow. Any suggestion/solutions?
The reason could be the following.
You used your machine on a mains working with 50 cycles/sec. In U.S. frequency is 60 cycles /sec. this could alter the working of the oscillating piston in the pump. The impedance of the coil is somehow about 20% higher on this mains, reducing so current and power of the pump.
To be quite shure of this, try to fill the pump thoroughly with water.
(Disconnect machine from mains, use Low pressure hose , max 0,5 bar, tied to the inlet -where the water tank feeds-, and fill until water comes out of the open hood)
If now the same humming persists an no pumping effect is noticed, i even will be a bit wiser knowing that 60Hz is not good to 50 Hz pumps.

Mine did the same thing and after a good cleaning of all the tubes and jets i discovered the little pump was rusted and fuzed from water allowed to leak inside.
you can tell this very easily as there will be a rust appearance around the little motor and you wont be able to turn it with your fingers.unfortunately the cost of the pump is prohibitive because you wont be able to replace just the motor and even if you could the problem will only return because of poor engineering design
leave it up to the chinese to screw us again
i will throw the whole thing away and go to made in america.com or some other website and find one made in america where we can gets parts and service.
