Problems with Maytag PYE4558A not heating properly

About 4 months ago got a Maytag Dryer from a reputable dealer. After 2 weeks it would not turn on. I have a 1yr warranty so I called the dealer & a serviceman came out and replaced the Thermal Fuse. The dryer turns on fine now, however I ALSO noticed it wasnt heating properly and drying clothes in a decent amout of time. I mentioned it to the serviceman, and he said "these newer type dryers SEEM that way because everything is digital and they are temperamental, if there is moisture in my utility room the dryer will SEEM to take longer". The man did something jibbered and told me what he did. IT STILL IS NOT HOT! I never got a book so I wasn't sure what setting to use. I tried ALL settings and the T-shirts took almost 2 hours to dry, and jeans are longer! PLEASE HELP!!!!

Call the dealer, tell them to come and fix the dryer or take it back to their store, whichever they want. If they give you a hassle tell them you are going to call the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General.

Maytag dryer pye2300azw shut off when drying the clothes i check breaker from house to dryer that's OK it won't turn on back

This dryer is fairly easy to repair.

The thermal fuse is probably blown. Look for air restrictions and a bad blower wheel to be the culprit. When that blower wheel starts slipping it causes the dryer to overheat.

MY pye2300azw maytag dryer does not seem to be heating hot enough. can you suggest a solution please. Does it need a new thermostat, nothing wrong with the heating element.

Number 10 is the most likely suspect. The blower wheel tends to get wobbled out and won't send enough heat through the drum making it take twice as long to dry the clothes.themobilian_13.jpgthemobilian_14.jpgthemobilian_15.jpgthemobilian_16.jpgthemobilian_17.jpg

The Maytag Atlantis dryer (gas) does not appear to be igniting the burner when it is turned on. The problem has gradually become more frequent over the last couple weeks. Now, it almost never lights up. ...

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
