Question about Bosch Evolution 800 B20CS80SNS Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator

Small pin-hole in the water intake tube the feeds into the fridge

I have a small pinhole in the tube the feeds water into the fridge. I have enough extra tubing-would it be possible to disconnect the tube and cut off the part with the hole then re-feed the tube in? We tried a putty that the hardware store gave us, and it dried hard and isn't stopping the leak at all. and the putty (jb weld) is not removable now, so the ideal solution would be to remove that section... even using tape over the jb weld isn't working. the hole is very close to where the tube connects to the fridge.

You can cut the bad spot out and use a connector to splice them together. You could replace the whole line but that is time consuming and a pain.

Now I think I have other things wrong with mine, after leakage problem the refrigeration compartment wont cool anymore but the freezer part remains working as usual.Ive nailed this down to one of the following not working... Thermostat / timer / defrost heater. So one or more of these needs replacing.Im just trying to look for a manual which shows the nuts and bolts or the refrigerator (not the "How to use" type manual which I have).

SOURCE: My fridge unit isn't cold enough even iv put

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

When I try to light the pilot, the flame light at the small hole on the outside on the pilot burner

You have a plugged pilot orifice. That small hole is basically an air intake for pilot when working properly, and when it gets a spider web or something in it, the pilot flame will burn rich (orange/yellow). When pilot orifice is plugged, that"s the next closest place for propane to escape, thus, flame . You need to either blow compressed air in to pilot tube end where flame is normally at, and hope it cleans debris out, or use a 3/8 and 5/16 wrench and disconnect pilot tube from end and remove orifice in pilot assy, and make sure small pinhole is cleared in center of orifice. Be careful when removing tube, as it is aluminum and can crack very easily, especially if older. The best thing to do would be to stop at RV store and get a new pilot tube and thermocouple assy, and install new. Not very expensive, and troubles should be over for years to come with regular servicing. New assy, comes with new orifice etc.

How do I fix a pinhole leak in the water dispenser tubing of a GE refrigerator freezer model TFX25KR TFX22KR?

You can repair those pinhole leak with a solvent used on pvc water tubing.
You can also use a epoxy that are specifically use on marine vehicle.
Put a small amount and apply to those pinhole.
Just be sure before you buy, look for those non-toxic material that is not hazardous to health.
Thanks for asking.

There is a small screw in the gas valve for adjusting the pilot gas pressure. Its normally right next to the 1/4 inch aluminum tube that feeds the pilot and is sealed with a Philips head screw. Be sure not to remove any "Allen Screws"! Those are test ports for inlet and Manifold gas pressure. If adjusting the pilot screw wont raise it enough, its OK to lower the air mix at the pilot so long as the pilot does not make smoke (Carbon). Let me know if you need anything else. Roger

It's easier to replace the entire Pilot Assembly. The Part Number is 78422 and you can order it direct from Mr. Heater. For parts call 800-251-0001. It should run about $30.00.

Hope this helps you. Please let me know.

We have a small Daewoo fridge my husband uses in the garage for his beer and it is not getting cold enough It is about 135 litres and even on maximum the freezer part has no ice in it

Small fridge not cold enough causes

(1.) Restriction in the freon dryer / capilary tube
(2.) Loss of freon / coolant due to pin hole type leak

This also does not rule out the compressor as a suspect. Do you know if the compressor stays running for an extended time? If not there can be a problem with the (3) PTC relay, (4) the thermal overload or the (5)run capacitor.

If the compressor is running for an extended time but just not reaching the correct temp and then automatically cycling off (6) the temp control can also be the problem.

And finally the last possible cause can be a (7) dragging compressor rotor i.e. not running full speed.

There is not and instant "this is the problem" solution for a not cold enough symptom unless this is a frost free unit... then we need to discuss defrosting problems.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Top arm is not getting enough water to rotate. The bottom arm is working good. Could this be caused by hard water deposits in the tube leading up to the top water funnel?

yes it could but more likely the jets in the upper arm are clogged ... also often on older machines the pump wears to the point of not providing enough force for both arms .. even more likely there is usually a plastic screen surrounding the pump intake .. that will be a good spot to look for mineral buildup .. the upper arm is the easiest place to start ... you can wiggle a wire or small screwdriver around in each hole to see if you can chip out hard deposits .. if the upper arm is movable then there is a rubber seal where its feed tube engages the pressure line .. that rubber can be warn and much of the pump pressure is lost there .. on some more popular machines replacement parts like the impeller/impeller housing, input filter and seals are available .. ... to get at the input filter screen you may have to dissassemble the lower arm area ... there are sometimes two filters ..

Leaking water inside refrigerator-model FRT18KC3BW2 I need know where to clean out the lines

you have to take the center bar down inside the fridge. It is the bar on top of the fridge compartment that houses the lightbulb. Unplug the fridge and unscrew the bar. There is one plug that must be unplugged, then you can pull it down. In the back is a small reservoir for water melting down from the freezer defrost, and a small tube stuck into a hole in the backof the fridge wall. pull the tube out, then flush hot hot water mixed with bleach into that hole. It will flush out anything stuck in the drain tube. If this doesnt work, you will need an external drain kit.

My water dispenser, the water is coming out very slow. I have replaced the filter based on the instruction guide.

hello. I can help you. Changing the filter was a good thing. Since it didnt solve the entire problem the next step is to Pull the fridge out from the wall and check the small tube that supplies the water to the fridge. Look for a pinched or cinked tube. If you find that replace that tube. otherwise check to be sure that the valve feeding that tube is turned all the way on. IF these steps still do not solve your flow problem turn off the water and disconnect the small tube where it begins so you can clean it out. The way that is done is with a turkey baster and a quart of water to which you add a 1/2 cup of white vinegar.

Pin hole in 1/4" copper tubing feeding refrigerator

Never run plastic tubing through a wall! If copper is already there, then leave it, and solder the pinhole leak back up.

If the leak is outside of the wall, then cut off the tubing that includes the pinhole, and buy a brass ferrule coupling for 1/4 inch copper to copper. Make sure that it includes a brass barrel (it may come with 2, one for each side. If not, they are sold separately as well.). Install the coupling with ferrule into one side of the coupling.

Push the barrel into the plastic tubing, and install with ferrule just like you installed the copper tubing.

Sometimes you can get a plastic ferrule for the plastic line side of the coupling.
