For the most part it cannot be done--check voltages in and then with a scope info coming out.

The regulator IC is always damage and the resistor .47 ohms...

Hello
Check for any short circuit on the output stage of that regulator IC. you can detect it with the help of a multimeter, set to Ohms range, by mesuring its output to negative. OK.

Why is my sony kv-36xbr800 have a curve in the picture?

Hello
The fault you see is due to its pin cushion circut. In this condition you will see picture curved on sides and top and bottom like "X", so it also called as "X" correction problem. There is an IC that functions as "S" correction and associated with a transistor on the circuit board. Either this IC ahs damaged or the transistor didn't gets it collector voltlage of damaged, can cause this problem. If you have confidence and patience, open your tV. You must have a concept of soldering, and knoledge about checking transsitors with multimeter, and must have a good quality multimeter also.
The said IC can be located very near to LOT and it is an 8 terminal component. Very near to it, you can see a three terminal transisotr, screwed onto a metal heat sink. Replace the transistor first, and check. If it doesn,t help, replace the IC with same type and number. If you wants anymore assistance, feel free to contact me by Fixya. OK.

Hi, I have a Loewe Xemix 6122 DO and the disc drive won't open. It says open on the screen but nothing happens. I pulled it apart to try and fix it but it didn't work and the problem persists. Please...

First of all open the player and get access to the mechanism. Now manually turn the loading motor to release the cd and eject. Now use a multimeter to check the voltage on the loading motor drive IC.If the IC receives input signal when the eject button is pressed, then the motor must receive voltage. If not IC is faulty,if yes motor is faulty. If no control to IC processor board is faulty.

There is no dial tone, only a busy signal.

It is possible that your dialer IC could have failed or the optocoupler or the pulse dialing semiconductor/ transistor, Disconnect the phone and use a multimeter to test the line voltage, then connect and test, if the voltage has come down then it is possible that the above mentioned parts needs a check. Often it is the failure of the pulse switching transistor hence you can trace it from the telephone line. Use the multimeter in the contiinuity mode to see for a short here, even for a zenerr diode which is used a protector. disconnect and see if the dial tone returns. In this case replace the shorted diode or transistor or the IC. Hope you try this out. Good day

Replaced IC chips, but can't fine-tune convergence.

U know how to use a multimeter right?Check and replaced all the resistors near the 2 convergence ICS.Most resistors are big and blue core in colors.

Mitsubishi tv

The ic IC9C25 is a 1 amp 9 volt regulator, see
IC REGULATOR 9V 1A TO252-3 TR - BA09FP-E2

The multimeter must read an output voltage between 8.45, and 9.45 , if it reads 1.7 then the IC is faulty.

Check the datasheet here

No sound

Hello sgaffar,

This may mean that you audio detector/amplifier IC in the TV was rendered defective by an electrical surge. Now I would check to see if the circuit was getting and sound from the audio detector (which might be in the IC also). After checking to make sure the bias circuits are ok I would suggest replacing the IC.

You will need a schematic, a multimeter, and if possible an oscilloscope to troubleshoot this problem.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
