Sometimes the drive moves & then it stops on my Mastercraft Snowblower

Most self propelled snow blowers are driven by a sliding rubber disc. That disc is driven by a belt from the engine. The belt can wear and needs adjustment. The handle that you hold has an adjustment for the tensioner pulley and spring assembly used to engage the belt. The belt can also be worn to the point of needing to be replaced.

My mastercraft "deluxe" 8 hp, 26" snowblower won't

Could be dirt in the carb. If this engine has a fuel cup on the bottom of the carb take it off and clean it out and clean the fuel jet. It is the little screw that has a little hole through it. If this has any dirt in it the engine will not run. A lot of engines I get in this is a quick fix as most people do not run the old fuel out before they store it for the summer. Check the spark plug as well and see if there is wet gas after trying to start. Maybe your choke is not working.

Which oil should be used for mastercraft 60-3975-8 snowblower

A good rule of thumb is: In 2 stroke engines, use synthetic or synthetic-blend 2 stroke oil
In 4 strokes, if it is cold, using regular SAE oil...SAE 30 only...if using synthetic oil (highly recommended), then you can get away with using a multi-viscosity oil like 10-30. Synthetic 30 weight is OK too. Just in cold temps, standard multi-viscosity oil does not perform well and manufacturers like Briggs caution against using it, stating engine damage can result.

Mastercraft snowblower will not start

if old gas was left in the tank and not flushed it makes the carb stick and won't allow the proper gas flow to the motor...I would first test the plug by verifying it has spark..if it does what i do at times is quickly spray some quick start in the plug chamber and reinsert the plug and try to restart...this at times will get the spark going and allow the motor to start.....you can also try to spary some in the carb before starting...just a squirt or two....the best thing to do is actually clean out the carb as it is likely the issue.....hope this helps
