If you are hearing screeching it could be a worn belt. Or it could be that your EP needs servicing (oil and lube)

Singer Heavy Duty 110 making whining/screeching noise.

If you cleaned and oiled according to the owner's manual, then that probably isn't the issue. Suggest consulting the owner's manual, troubleshooting section. Machine could also be out of time.

Some reviews on this machine are not great:

Take in in for a Maintenance. There are many areas the may need a drop of oil, or adjustment. You don't want to do it.

My Serger, Brother Lock 1034D is sewing great but periodically makes a loud screeching noise. Any ideas?

if you heat the area before its oiled it will wick it up
mini torches rule, or just run machine for 3 mins to warm it up a lot
use some wd40 its light oil but evaporates some on some

there are 2.00 stethoscopes out there i use one . got it at tool import
this noise will always be there its a sleeve going bad with offset wear.
the bearings will be on some support structure as the mech passes rods through them.
there are some amazing lubes out there but some can be hazardous to your skin an blood with micro balls.

Embroidery arm does not work

Sounds like the embroidery arm belt stop is out of adjustment. Unless you're pretty handy, take the machine and arm to a professional. If you're going to tackle it yourself, get a service manual for the machine.

When I wind a bobbin, it makes a screeching noise and the needle goes up and down. What step am I missing ?

On the right side is a big wheel and in the middle a smaller one. You need to unlock the smaller wheel so that the needle mechanism does not run when re-winding a bobbin. You need to use both hands to do it. Hold the bigger wheel and then loosen the inner wheel anti clock wise. Once you have finished loading your bobbin you need to tighten the inner wheel again for the machine to be fully functional again.

Screeching noise

have you tried a new needle--flat side to the back of the machine
check to see if the thread has come off the thread take up lever
it's also possible that there's something wrong with the motor since it sounds a bit loud
it probably needs to be serviced

Makes a loud screeching sound when I sew.

I think it's time to oil your machine. Take a look at you user's manual and clear out any lint (fluff) before adding special sewing machine oil to the moving parts.
