When I record with my m-audio mobile pre USB, there is no latency issues with recording but there is a delay in the headphones if I turn them up to hear myself while recording. How do I fix this? I'm using...

Have a read at this article. I assume you are using ASIO4ALL if not then you should.

http://www.image-line.com/support/FLHelp/html/recording_audio_USBmic.htm

Specifically this part:

Note about latency: USB microphones generally only allow you to hear the sound being recorded after it has passed through FL Studio. As the latency of USB microphones depends on the ASIO4ALL latency settings, there may be a troublesome delay between the sound made and it being reproduced from your speakers or headphones. For example, low latency monitoring is particularly important to vocalists as high latencies cause a distracting echo effect. The only solution to this problem is to lower your buffer length settings (there are limits) or obtain a new soundcard with direct-monitoring.

I have the roland pc 200 mk11 . We have set it up now ... on a laptop and there is a sound delay .... Can you please assist us with this problem ? is it a setting problem ? Reno

The sound delay that you're hearing is often described as latency. It's just a by-product of having a lot of things for your keyboard to go through. Generally speaking, it's not really possible to eliminate latency completely but there are some ways to deal with it. In your case, I would suggest plugging your headphones into your keyboard directly instead of connecting them to your computer or any other pres/amps. Depending on your hardware, you may be able to run your keyboard with lower latency but getting that going will depend specifically on your hardware and what drivers are provided.

There is a 2 second delay with my snowball. I am trying to record and a vocalist needs to listen to their voice quality when doing so, however it is very difficult to actually record with headphones on...

The delay isn't the mic, it's the mixer or how you're routing signal that's causing delay. If you're using a stander mixer use 2 separate "aux.'s" one for your vocalist and 1 for yourself. OR i aux for your vocalist and you listen to final output (stereo mix)

Lately, the sound/signal fades to nothing a few seconds after I begin using. I've changed batteries so thats not the issue. Dunno if its time to chuck it or now, about a year old.

The fact that signal fades is indicative of something with a time delay. The question is where the delay is. If your guitar has a preamp and this device due to wear or contamination on the plug breaks the battery connection within the guitar, the problem could be a worn jack in the guitar that MAY work with your normal cable but not this Amplug due to slight size differences. Other problems could be corrosion on the battery connections in the Amplug. Sometimes headphone cables go bad so try those in another audio source and make sure they are solid. Sometimes these thing have real weak switches and the intial actio of turning it on momentarily connects the batterry, charging the internal filter capacitors which then bleed off... so try working the switch and see if it pops back on..

Samson 3o1u has a delay in my headphones

The delay is due to the time it takes to digitize the audio and pass the data through your computer to the audio board.

Depending on your system and software, you MAY have a setting for ECHO which loops the sidetone directely to your headphones so the delay isn't present/

Hi, My IDJ2 plays the music through my headphones and stereo but not at the same time. There is a delay in the stereo output. I have swapped stereos and headphones but no luck.

this is a common problem i have found with several units that have come through our shop. best thing to do is to get it repaired if it is still under warranty. If not ask them how much to repair it. I personally dont like these units but i do love numark. there are multiple videos on youtube explaining how to fix or bypass these with everything from firmware updates to hard mods.

The sounds is making an echo when it gets to loud

As long as these headphones are not the wireless type. Then your problem sounds like the earth connection has become detached. Perhaps at the plug/jack end. If you can't solve it cut the ******** and fit a new one.
