Question about Cell Phones
I've had this phone for three days now. On the first day, the camera was working just fine, I took maybe six pictures with it. But then the next day, every time I tried to take a picture with it I get the message ''Unable to capture image.'' I don't know what happened to cause this change...I know I changed the image size from Best to Good to have more pictures, but there's really not much you can actually do to this camera. I checked the manual, but of course it was mostly useless. However, there's a difference in the display picture in the manual to what mine shows: up at the top left it says ''EV'' instead of the zoom level (in the case of the picture in the manual, 1X). I don't remember if it was there before, but it's definitely there now. Alltel is terrible about trying to charge for everything, so I need the camera to get some wallpapers that aren't awful--please help!
I had the same problem. Restart the phone and you should be fine.

I have the motorola hint and the 2nd day when i tried to take a pic it said, unable to capture image and i couldnt sent a tex message. I had read where it helped if you turned the phone off and then back on and it worked ok after that. One thing they neglect to tell you is there is a plastic cover over the lens and it is on the inside of the camera that needs to be removed...you have to take the back off to get it. Has anyone ever noticed that ever once in a while the screen flickers?

Ok i figured out that when you are texting, the camera will say "unable to capture image" so u have to shut it off then turn it back on and you will be able to use the camer. BUT.....then once you take pictures you wont be able to send any messages, so u therefore have to turn off the phone AGAIN to send your messages. so pretty much you either get to use texting or the camera at one time you cant do both without turning it off. OFIICIALLY THE DUMBEST PHONE EVER!!

I also have the Hint and had the same problem. You see in the back of the phone, next to the battery, there is an empty spot for a card (called Micro SD). You have to get one of those cards, it gives the phone more memory so that you can store more music and pictures. If you buy it at an Alltel store it will be more expensive, but you can usually find them at a Best Buy for cheaper. Hope this helps!

Same problem with the Storm and the camera error message about closing open applications. I removed the battery and put it back in. Problem solved. Frustrating. Most people at Verizon don't have a clue to the Storm and it's functionality and the user manual and the online Blackberry help link only mention basic troubleshooting. You would think that with the profit and popularity of the Storm, sales and help from the maker would have a wider scope. Thanks to all that submitted the solution. Rook.

I tried taking the battery out to fix the problem with taking a picture when the storm gives you an error message still no go.
