Electrolux electric cooktop heating element is changing temps + others are coming on by themselves?

I appreciate your post, friend!
Based off what you have described your Electrolux cooktop is changing temperature and is coming on at random times. This could be an issue with your control panel or a wiring harness. I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician for a proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you avoid unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

Oven temp fluctuates

It is normal for the thermal device to turn on and off. Obtaining a steady temp is not always possible. When setting a temperature on some ovens, they have what is called a tolerance point. That means a set temperature has a range of a few degrees up or down. At the Down point, the oven is triggered to energize the coils and bring the interior of the oven back to the settings desired. The other factor is opening the oven and allowing cool air to enter, or in some cases a leaking door seal allows air to enter and heat to escape.

Need a wiring diagram

Most appliances have a wiring diagram inside them. (I know washers, dryers, and fridges do). Have you checked to see if there is one? Usually they are printed on green paper and folded up. Obviously for an oven, they'd have to be away from the heat source. Maybe near the control panel on the back, or if there is a storage drawer on the bottom of the stove, it might be in there, or taped to the back of the drawer.

Flashing lights wont stop

Possible this is an error due to a protection and so it cannot switch on the cooker/oven. remove power off and check the coils, check for leak to the body of the oven , if so it can trip on protection. Also check the sensors- thermistor sensors. Check for insulation failure and insects that are trapped.finally check the control panel for moisture and if so dry the panel and reconnect the connectors once again.

The control knob on the left back pops and throw the breaker every time we turn it on. It also throws a spark.

I am having the same problem with similar model (all of the control knobs line up on the right side of the cooktop). I removed the controller that "popped" and then turned the breaker on -- it flashed in a different location (under the indicator light adjacent to the controller I removed). Just for additional fun, I turned on the breaker one more time and I got a flash under the controller at the opposite end of the controller panel. I am assuming that I have fried at least two controllers and an indicator light does anyone know what the source of the problem might be? Thanks!

I had new countertops put in and they took they drop in stove out. When complete tegy put the stove back in and everything worked fine. Within 5 minutes the control panel went off. Oven light works and...

The control panel must be on and in manual mode for the oven to work. Turn the power off for a moment and then back on. If the panel starts to flash, set the time and set it to manual and the oven should work. If the panel does not light up it is faulty and requires replacement.
