Question about Refrigerators
Large black handles are on the left. they rub against the pull out cabinet to the left of it. additionally, the kitchen working area is to the right and therefore the swing is in the wrong direction. can't see any holes, or plates covering the holes, indicating that the hinges and handles can be switched
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I ran into the same problem when I moved into my old house. the door way was to small, so I had to take both doors off the refrigerator to get it through the doorway. But I found out when I moved out of the house, that I was able to open both doors and wiggle it through the doorway. It was a hassle but it was alot easier that removing the doors. Good luck.

Yes it is a hinge cam that broke. Can be ordered on the GE website. A no pro job to replace. A little patience and time about 30 minutes.

Actually, I have a Kenmore 795 model with the top door and bottom drawer freezer. I just tried this, based on "guru's" advice. Unfortuately, though the TOP hinge on this model is reversible, the bottom hinge is NOT. I got it all apart before I discovered this problem. Also you might want to note that the 7/16th wrench is too big for my bolts and the 3/8ths is too small. I had to use an adjustable wrench...maybe they are metric.
An allen wrench will get the handles off for you. You will find little ports for it if you look carefully.
