Question about Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun

Problem sighting bushnell lazer boresighter

While trying to sight my gun for 100 yrds the lazer does not show up on target. It advertised the the beam would be visible at 50 to 100yrds.
The beam is only visible for approx. 20 yrds. Could there possibly be an adjustment?

If you are attempting to use a red laser in daylight, you have to wear special glasses to see it well. You may have to complete this project with less light, such as after dark, or indoors. Only green lasers will show up in daylight. If this is not helpful, then I suggest that you change the batteries to brand new ones that you are sure of. There is probably no adjustment possible. Best wishes for your safe shooting!

I have a Bushnell Bore Sight with multiple adapters for various calibers, I have been looking for a bore sight for the 17 HMR, is there one available for the set without buying the entire set?

You can buy a laser bore sight that looks like a bullet that shoots a laser out. You just load it like a bullet and then sightyour scope to match it at the proper yardage. If you can remove the action(like with a bolt action) then you could just sight down the barrel(with the rifle in a gun vise) and then adjust your scope to point at the same thing you see through the barrel.

How do i site in my Bushnell Banner 30x-9x scope?

i would start by supporting it on a table, if you don't have a bore sight look down the barrell or side of the barrell, holding it steady look into the scope. make them match the a spot on the wall, keep adjusting the scope until they match. this will get you close before you shoot. i would set up a target at 25 yards. set the scope close on left, right, up and down. move out to 100 yrds and shoot a 3 group pattern. let the barrell cool, make adjustments and shoot again. it should be set.

Cannot get to the bull's eye. rifle shoots 2" to right of bull's eye. after two full turns left on windage - nothing happened. I',m ready to return to the store. Any help???

continue to adjust the wind-age. If your problem persists I would suggest turning both to a random point and re-start sighting the gun. If that does not fix the problem return the sight because this most likely means the wind-age is disconnected.

How do i calibrate the scope to hit where im aming the crosshairs?

Bolt action? If not, ignore this, but , if it is a bolt gun, remove the bolt. Mount the rifle in a vice type clamp or a cardboard box with v's cut in it to hold the rifle steady, aim through the bore at a target 100 yards away. make the rifle stay on the target, now peek through the scope, it should be on the same target, if it isn't, move the adj up or down, left or right to get it on target, then check the bore again, then the scope again. This will put you on paper at 100 yards, fine tune it from there. Hope this helps.

How do I sight this scope. If I set the center mil dot at zero at 100yards,where will the other dots be sighted using a 22/250 with 55 gr. bullets

I think the mildots only go so far, you have to do your homework on these things. Your 22.250 zeroed in at 100 yrds, velocity 3800, drops 7.4 inches at 300 yards, and 37 inches at 500 yards, so your mildots being set at x number of inches per dot, will not hit at 500 yards, your bullet is not enough. Even sighted in at 400 yards, the bullet drops 13.6 inches at 500 yards. But,,, with the same 400 yard zero, at 100,+4.7,200,+7.7,300,+6.6. That is about the flatest you'll get. And your mildots will be set likewise. You know they made the mildot scope for the trajectory of the 308. They changed everything for that bullet.

When adjusting for a couple of inches, the next shot is a foot off. It seems to wander all over the target.

! click is 1 inch @ 100 yards, provided you have the correct scope for the rifle.
If you are sighting in a .22 LR 40 grain match velocity bullet for 100 yards, the mid range trajectory (50 Yards) is 6" higher. The bullet has a 6" arc half way to your target. If you are sighting in a .270 with 150 grain blunt tail bullets for 250 yards, the mid range trajectory is .4 higher. It only has 4/10" arc half way.
You most match the scope to the gun, and the 1 click= 1 inch rule will apply. Otherwise, it's lock it into a righd mount, fire it and adjust the scope accordingly. If you want to change the range on the scope, it will be guesswork.
I use a Bushnell Banner 3-9X40 with BDC. If you have BDC, make sure you have the correct distance ring in for the caliber.. It will make all the difference in the world.

I aser bore sight my Bushnell banner. I need to

if it is verry tight back it off a little bit you dont want to break the seal.i have never been a big fan of the laser bore sighters.i have had a cpl and both were inaccurate.BSA makes a good bore sighter for 49 bucks.try a cpl shots with it and find out how far you are truely off.remember 1 click is 1/4 inch.in 100 yrds.in the army we had all the ammo we needed to sight our rifles in.but here in the real world with ammo prices so high a good bore sighter is the way to go.

I have a Bushnell Elite 4200 6x24x40 rifle scope 42-6242M

First is to try for a group, do not adjust the scope in any way. Shoot 4 rounds with out adjusting the scope. The gun should settle down and start to group. If you can not get a group in 6 rounds go clean that gun & check your ammo. Start over. If she does not group, its the gun not the scope. Once it starts to group move the cross hairs in the opp direction small clicks and "TAP' the scope after each adjustment. Shoot for a group each time 2 rounds should group. Get a target that has a grid to help get on faster.

It sounds like an internal problem which you, yourself may not be able to repair.

Go to; www.iorvaldada.com/niviriscriop.htm (UAS Optics) they are the dealer for this scope, or their email; USAoptics@aol.com. or their phone; 813-495-7951.

They should be able to assist you with this problem. Good luck. :)
