Here is your owner's manual.

Make sure you have fresh serger thread and at it is best when you first start to use as many different colors as there are spool holders. This way you will learn which thread is doing what on the finished seam. Sergers can be take your time to really understand how they work.

One final note. EVERY new material needs a new tension adjustment. Always test sew on scrap and adjust tension to balance stitches before you try sewing your project.

I just get 4 strings coming out.

a lot of times when a needle breaks it causes a problem with the
timing and the machine has to be checked, sometimes a part can
be damaged also
