The unit is about 2 years old and today it just stopped working. I've checked the breaker panel and that was not the problem. Is there a fuse or an iternal rest button in the unit?

Hi,
No fuse or internal reset.... the motor bearing just get dry and need oil...

Sometimes they can be cleaned and oiled and they will work again...
Cleaning the grease and dust with out ruining the motor is the tricky part...
Take the unit apart as much as possible...spray down the fan part with a degreaser or strong cleaner...let it soak and they spray it down with water to rinse it off...
Then work a few drops of light motor oil into the motor by proping up the fan so that the oil will run down the shaft and into the motor...

then get it running smoothly by working it by hand...

Put it all back together and it should work again...

I have a Broan Elite 2736 downdraft range fan that is 3 years old. Upon using it , it started to go up and then down without stopping until I unplugged it. I replugged it in and it continues to go up and...

Broan model 2736A won't stay up

In my case, I pushed the button, the housing goes fully up, then right back down. I removed and disassembled the unit for cleaning. After Assembly I located two microswitches that cause the extension moror to stop at the top and at the bottom of the swing. In my case, the inertia of the motor caused the unit to "Coast" thru the top of the stroke and continue back down. I bent the outer 1/3 of the metal tabs that depress the microswitches so that the unit stopped rising a wisker sooner and no longer goes back down without pushing the button. The same coasting theroy may apply at the bottom of the stroke. The motor that runs the up and down motion is controlled by three switches, the two limit switces plus the momentary push button switch. If you don;t need to completely remove your unit for cleaning, the microswitchs can be located by removing the fan housing and looking up from inside the cabinet (under the stove) on the right side. IN my case, there was 10 years of goop to be removed.

Brand new Kenmore microwave fan does not **** up air

It's easier to notice air blowing out of something than it is to notice air being sucked into something. Put a pot of boiling water on the stove and see if the oven sucks up the steam from it. If it does, it's working fine.

Have a Ewave microwave 153UB, just quit cann't find where the fuse is to check

Fuse is usually behind the control panel and may require lowering the Microwave and removing the cover.

Microwaves can store 4,000 Volts EVEN WHEN UNPLUGGED for periods of time. This CAN KILL you!

Do not attempt this repair unless you are positive of your abilities and have paid your life insurance in a timely fashion.

Ewave over range microwave

I am assuming the food is heated. Most microwaves have only 2 major parts, the magnetron, the thing that makes the radio waves(heat) and the control module. The relays for the light and rotisserie are on the control module board. However, as the interior light does not work. have you tried a replacement? the table not spinning may be jammed with food or something keeping the motor from turning, that or it is seized up and needs replaced. I don't think the 2 things are related. Try a new bulb and then taking the bottom apart to gain asses to the motor that spins the plate before I looked at a new control board.

Ewave otr microwave

Some microwaves have a sensor built in so if the oven gets to hot the fan will come on to help cool it down. It should shut off when it senses it is cooled down to the proper temp. If it will not shut off the sensor may be defective. Its your choice to either call a service tech to repair it or just replace it. I would weigh the cost of the repair to a new unit.

Thermador downdraft does not stop going up and going down automatically

I had a similar issue with the Thermador CVS30R hood continually going up and down, and also issues with the fan starting.
The issue was found to be a loose control arm off the motor. The arm itself moved outward on the motor shaft which resulted in it missing the switches that control the hood up/down and fan start.
This was a somewhat simple fix. Make sure the hood is in the down position. Unplug the unit from power(important!). Unscrew the screw that connects the drive arm to the drive link. Unscrew the motor/control cover, then unscrew the 4 screws holding the complete motor/control unit on (2 Phillips-head screw on each end of the assembly). Pull the complete motor/control assembly out, be careful of wiring. Once out, push the drive arm on firmly onto the motor assembly and tighten the screw. When doing so make sure the 2 micro switch arms are not caught and are free to switch.
When placing the unit back in, ensure all wiring is clear from being caught and ground is reconnected. Put it all back together and done!
I found this link to be useful for a parts/configuration diagram:http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=232629&diagram_id=194441#d194441

Over the range microwave oven

The magnetron may not be cooling properly and the overheat is what is causing the shut down. The internal cooling fan will need to be checked for proper operation.
