Lg washing machine leak - Washing Machines

Called a repairman, and he discovered the problem was a hole in the small-diameter hose coming from the drain pump and going to the front panel. That's the hose that lets you drain the wash tub if the machine stops in mid-cycle. The hole was due to wear, looked like it had been rubbing against something, as the machine shakes a lot during the wash cycle.

Model number is WD-1274FHB, a Canadian unit that was transplanted to the U.S. Sorry for the sketchy details -- I was intending to search the web site, but the site ended up turning it into a problem topic of its own.

Since the original posting, I got under the machine. I see some wetness when looking up at the bottom of the white plastic tub enclosure, also some wetness on the black drain hose going down to the drain pump, and some on the small pump drain hose. So to me that means either: (1) water is leaking from somewhere on the tub enclosure and running down, or (2) water is leaking from one of the hoses and maybe spraying around and wetting things that are higher up.

You need to run it with the cabinet open and try to find the leak. I know it is hard to do but you need to be sure of where it is leaking from.

I have a lg tromm wm2277hw washer Why does it leak soap down to the front of the washer

in my experience you would be much better off using powdered detergent instead of liquid. it will stop leaking down front and will not leave residue in tub that eventually leads to mold mildew issues.

Leaky washing machine LG

It is so common that the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occur. Removing and cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

How do you change the front door seal on a LG 7kg front loader washing machine

Well I have the manual. If you want it.If the problem is water leaking out the door LG recommends you shim the door latch with washers. This would make the door close tighter and eliminate leaks. See page 36

LG Washing machine leaks from the bottom when large items such as flannel sheets are placed in the machine. It does not leak at any other time but I had water all over the floor twice when I tried to wash...

Water may be working its way up and over the inner wash tub with the larger items. Ensure that you are not overloadinig the washer. You may want to contact an appliance service company.
