Question about Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White
On the model CFEF372BC3, the clean cycle is started by pressing the "clean" button, then electing either 2hr or 3hr cycle.
Following the clean cycle, the door reamains locked, the door lock light is flashing and the interior oven light is on. It's like the oven thinks it is still in clean cycle. The oven is cold, the clean cycle finished over 12 hours ago.
The manual is useless and offers no help. The website has no help on this either. Anybody have any ideas? I've tried shutting off the power, but when I turn the power back on, the same problem is there. I've tried holding down the "clear" button, but nothing happens (it just beeps when I press it). I can't restart the clean cycle as the clean button is unresponsive.
The range still works, but the oven is locked and out of commission. Appreciate any solutions, door over-ride or reset options that anybody knows about for this model.

Thank you tech17. It worked! My husband repeated your instructions just a couple of times and bingo - it unlocked. Thank you very much!

HI, this is control failure. the logic chip set is damaged. this is causing these erratic commands and the unauthorized locking of the oven door. you will need ot replace the control in this case.(EOC/clock)

OK, this is not a good situation here. your Electronic Oven Control board is damaged. the logic sectors are faulty. The F-1 represents a major EOC failuer and, you will need to replace your EOC(clock) asap, if possible.

Cycling the power off and then on again will sometimes reset it...often you will have to call the customer service number to get the steps to take to unlock that...
