Question about Initial Portable DVD Player with 10.2" Screen, IDM-1210

Open Question

I have a Initial Portable DVD Player IDM-1210 10.2 TFT Monitor. Serial # DSB6284014524W. I completely charged up the battery but when I put in a DVD, it will not start playing. I can hear it spinning and it says it is loading but will not load and will not play. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Won't load DVD for Initial IDM-7110

First check and see what is happening inside. Take something small and stick n the lock mech, which is the hold that a small part of you top to the player sticks in to tell the unit that it is closed. See if the lense light up and moves up and down and also see if it moves forward a bit and back to start position. If player does not do any of this then with fingers move lense down line abit to see if anything is obstruting path. You can move all the way down then place DVD in and try again

SOURCE: Initial 7'' TFT Monitor Portable DVD IDM-1731

I've had mine for four years now and I occasionally get the 'no disc' message. On mine, the problem seems to be with the sensor that checks if the cover is closed. It's a round cylinder white in color, about the diameter of a toothpick, located near the lower-left corner. Anyway, after opening the unit and tinkering with it a little bit, I found if I just tilt base of the DVD player a little bit as it is reading a disc I can get the player to work. Yes, it sounds hokey, but it works for me everytime I get the 'no disc' message.

On a related note, does anybody have a dead IDM-1731 they don't want? I would like to replace the LCD bezel on mine. If you have one, please send me an email, five_hole @ hotmail. Thanks!
