SOURCE: E2 error in smeg dishwasher

e2 is overfill or flooded base.
take the bottom front panel off and see if there is water in it and if so, mop it out. if it reoccurs, then you have a leak.
you will see a float device in the front approx middle and this is what actuates e2. if fault is intermittant, try putting a small weight on this - a washer for example.
if e2 is being caused by overfill and not a flooded base, then the water intake moulding needs replacing

SOURCE: SMEG Dishwasher - Water fill level is too low

Hi, I found your problem stuck here from one year ago.

I will post my solution the same, as reference for you and more users with same problem, apologies.

Re: smeg dishwasher fails to fill with enough water to sucessfully wash. It does put some water in.. but nowhere near enough.

Before checking parts inside the machine, ensure that water is coming from the faucet at the back with regular pressure.

To start check the water level sensor.

This is usually a floater sensor located on a side inside the dishwasher.

Check if water level is working properly, if the floater is getting stuck then that is the problem.

If the water level is OK, then the responsible is usually the inlet valve, or clogged inlet lines.

From description it looks more like a faulty water level.

SOURCE: I am getting an E6 error on my Smeg dishwasher SA

usually you would press the canel button for three seconds to get the unit to go into drain According to SMEG, there are 3 causes for this fault :

kinked drain hose
Pressure Switch Fault (£18 )
Drain Pump Fault (£39)

on one occasion i had to repair the problem by traceing the fault to a broken wire between the electronic module in the door and the pump. The point at which the door opens and closes on the cables has frayed the insulation and broken through the wire. As this was the live feed to the pump and a potential short from 240VAC to the chassis its dangerous!!

Repairing the wire break and re-insulating fixed the problem

The code means no drain detected in the time allowed, so the pressure switch may have failed in the closed position, or there is a blockage in the chambers or pipework preventing the switch from de-pressurising.

if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank this opinion when our chat has fully concluded it allows me to help others in similar situations in the future Thanks Rick

Error code E3 on Samsung DMS500TRW dishwasher

3E error in Samsung dishwashers normally relates to high temperature error. This means the dishwasher is detecting over 80deg C water temperature. However if it is 5E that means drain error. If your dishwasher is draining correctly then please check the error again.

E3 Error

the E3 error is a result of water temperature not getting to a nominal value within a particular time. This could be caused by several factors like heater faulty, wash pump not working well, wash arms not circulating water as required. Need model number to help you further pin point if possible.

Refer this site for 60 inch dishwasher and this site for 45 inch ones.

Is there a quick fix to a flashing e3 on a Danby DDW497W?

Refer the user manual for your dishwasher. Error codes are given on page 7.

e3 means the heater is not working or the thermostat (which checks the water temperature) is faulty.
Not sure there is any quick fix other than to replace. If the heater is showing some reading on an ohm meter then it is likely the thermostat is faulty. In any case it will be easier and cheaper to replace the thermostat first.

You will need to call Danby service closest to you for advise on getting the parts or servicing it.
Please rate this solution to help fixya serve you better in future.

My Kenwood KDW243A built in dishwasher is desplaying what I assume is an error code, E3. What does this mean? The washer is not washing properly.

E3 means the base is full of water. A quick fix is to tilt the machine back for 10 mins or so but you need to find the cause of the leak and repair it
