Take out and make sure you have puched it as far as it will go by takeing it out and putting it back should **** the sencer switch with is at the back of the filter not on the filter its self its in the dryer at the back where the filter puchs at it keep takeing it in and out ok if that dont work try cleaning at the back of the filter in the dryer where the filter go's ok should do it it only takes a little bit of fluff to stop it from working ok

Mdg7600 gas dryer replaced coil- hot surface igniter lights then shuts off -bypassed cycling thermostat still no luck

if it lights then most likely you have a block somewhere with lint, pull out the lint filter and then remove the duct that the filter slides into and clean it out, with a shop vac set it up to blow and blow off the burner tube, the motor and the whole cabinet, put it back together, now go to the back, remove the vent line and start it,if it runs fine until you reinstall the vent line then you have a block in the line,i use a leaf blower,i remove the vent line,go outside, make sure the outside duct is clear, nothing blocking it like a cage or screen,go back inside, stick the leaf blower into the vent line and blow it out to the outside, this usually clears it.lint buildup is the most common problem with dryers.let me know what you find.if you already changed the gas coils and ignitor and the flame does light most likely bad air movement.

Lg dryer check filter light wont stop blinking and the dryer wont work

You may have a clogged vent line.
Which will cause the check filter light to go on sometimes.
If the air is not getting out the vent and is blocked the sensor thinks the filter is clogged.
And you will not get heat either.
Check that the flexible vent line behind the dryer is not kinked or crushed.
A simple way to check if the vent line leading out from the dryer to the out side of the house is clogged is to remove the vent line from the rear of the dryer.
If the dryer gets hot when the vent line is removed, then the clog is between there and the outside vent door.
sometimes the little door outside the house gets stuck closed due to lint build up.
Or anything can be in the vent going into wall too.

My check filter light is on, the buzzer wont work but it is still drying

Hi

The electronic display on an LG dryer includes a "Check Filter" warning light. The light is primarily for convenience and does not indicate a major malfunction.

You may have a clogged vent line which will cause the check filter light to go on sometimes. If the air is not getting out the vent and is blocked the sensor thinks the filter is clogged. When I turn on the dryer, the top gets VERY hot within about 2 minutes. When I look inside, you can see the heating element is red. I checked the vent and it is clear. I did notice that there was some...

if the lint is damp then the air isn't moving out the vent line, unplug the dryer, go outside and make sure the hood is clear, then go back inside and remove the vent line from the back of the dryer,if the vent line is long i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, just stick it into the vent line and blow it so all the lint will go outside,if you could have someone watch the outside and they can let you know when the line is clear, also the duct that the lint filter slides into should be cleaned out and you should vacuum out where the motor is,you have an open flame inside the dryer and the lint can and will catch fire if it's not cleaned out,i do this to my dryer once a year, the clothes dry on time,no fires and the parts in the dryer last longer from being cleaned and the dryer isn't overheating and damaging the motor and other parts from running to hot.let me know how you make out

Kenmore Dryer not working

when was the last time you cleaned out the dryer?there's a thermal fuse located on the top of the blower wheel housing that pops if the dryer overheats from a clogged vent line or for whatever reason the air isn't moving.unplug the dryer,if the filter is on top then the thermal fuse is in the back of dryer next to the duct that the lint filter slides into,if the filter is inside then the thermal fuse is in the front of dryer to the right of the duct that the filter slides into.unplug the dryer, with a meter read out the thermal fuse, whatever part you are reading out you have to remove at least one of the wires so you don't get a false reading.next if the vent line is a long run from the back of dryer to the outside vent i use a leaf blower to blow out the vent line, make sure the outside vent is clear before you blow out the line, any cages or screens remove them, next you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into,if filter is on top don't forget to remove the two phillips screws in front of the filter on the top panel and vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is,you should do this once a year so you don't pop anymore parts, you won't have a fire and your clothes will dry on time and save electricity.let me know how you make out

Dryer wont heat and check filter light is on but filter in dryer is clean?

This could be caused by a venting restriction. These dryers have sensors built in to check airflow temp differences. Take the vent off the dryer and run it and see if it heats. If it does then you know the problem is with your venting. You will need to either clear the vent or replace it.

Hope this helps _MJ_

Check filter light remains on. Start button seems to not be working

If the filter is clean, a blockage or lint buildup in the vent line could cause this problem. Make sure the vent line is clear all the way to the outlet.
