I am afraid that I have to admit my ignorance regarding the question ;) I have no idea what DVM is! My tablet is a GT-P7500 10.1 64 GB (not P-7510 32 GB like it says in the subject line) To explain a little bit more about the problem, then I found out yesterday that there has been a problem with the electricity supply in my house for the last few weeks and that has probably caused my tablet to completely drain the battery. I have always used the original charger and line ( I have a few times let it charge thru my laptop but only a few times). Now it has stayed in the charger since I noticed and fixed the electricity problem (almost 24 hours) but so far nothing is happening (charger does not heat up and whatever buttons I press or in what order I press them nothing happens) I hope that this will help you finding a solution for me and I really appreciate the time you put into this. Sincerely Thordur G. Sigfridsson

The DVM is a digital volt meter. It very cheap that you can get at Radio Shack. It's a must for checking & testing electronics. But one that can check AC/DC voltages and Ohm. If you don't know how to use one ask someone. First check the AC voltage on the wall. In USA is 110VAC and 220VAC in other countries. Now, look at the charger DC Output reading and set the DVM to DC Voltage Scales. Plug charger into the wall and measure the lead of the charger. DVM should displays about the same number as charger. If not, you have a defective charger. If voltage is good. Next steps, you will need to take apart the GT-P7500. The battery inside is defective.

Finally got it working again. After rying everything that I could including holding down buttons in all kind of combinations for a endless time and letting stay on charger for then a day. I finally decided to open up the back of the tablet and when i measured the voltage of the battery I found out that it was pretty mucfully loaded (4.15v) I then unplugged battery (no need to unplug anything else) and plugged it back in right away. Then I hit the power button and voila,,, the screen lit up....after taking a few dancesteps I put the tablet back together and had no problems with i again...it turns off, shuts down and turns back on again without any problems :)

Use a proper key to open the door, pop the hood and put the battery on to charge.

Remote starters are notorious for causing problems.

2007 jeep gc won't start. Lights, battery all Dash lights had been acting strangely before this happened. Turned the car off, Swapped AC relay with starter relay and nothing.

i guess you mean starter is dead, and all lights dead.
pointing to....
the battery is dead, did you jumper cable start it?
if that works the battery is bad, dead or only dischanged.
if that dont work make sure the battery cable lugs are cleaned.
no rust on cable ends( that green junk there that all cars get)
if the head lamps die (they work key off so...)
then the battery is dead, or rusty lugs.
if battery is dead, charge it. using a charger.

When stalled car will not start again for some time and battery seems dead. What is this?

that is because it is dead?
that key dead thing is called NO CRANK, not no start.
no car starts unless cranked, or push started or gravity started,
so its a NO Crank issue,
and the stalls, well if the battery drops below 10v the EFI system
stop working just like your lap top does, or CEL phone
and for same reasons.

most folks do a jumper cable crank next. like the AAA tow truck man does first, and for good reasons.
this proves what is wrong,
1: battery was dead (car cranks now)
2: starter dead. or key line dead, if not. cranking now.

my guess is its #1

if battery was dead, then it is
  • bad battery.
  • only discharged, so why not charge it?
  • or phantom drains, (over night parking battery dies)
  • or alternator is dead, (chargelight glowing? test alt.

The battery is almost bead, the car won't start, how do I jump start my touareg 2006 V6

place the positive lead from the jump battery to the positive terminal of the dead battery. take the negative lead from the jump battery and place it on the engine or other metal point--- NOT TO THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF THE BATTERY-- If you do then you run a real risk of a power surge that will fry the ECM
However with a dead battery if the cells are failed then the power from the jump battery will probably feed the dead short in the dead battery and it may not work
Best have a load test done on the dead battery to see if it is faulty (cold weather) or just flat

Can a dead battery be recharged and how

If you have a capable battery charger, then a dead battery can be recharged. I would suggest recharging the battery to the proper voltage and then letting it set for 24 hours. In 24 hours check the battery for the correct voltage. If it maintains the charge, then you should be okay to reinstall the battery. If it does not, then you may have a dead cell in the battery and it would need to be replaced. Video about How to Test Battery

My fone dead put charger in does nothing dead dead dead

Nokia phones are notorious for slow response time when recharging from a completely dead battery.

Remove battery.
Make sure there is good contact between all of the contact points.
Replace battery.
plug in charger.
wait for at least 5 min.
If recharge symbol does not appear in window, then one of these things has occurred:
1. Phone has internal damage or water damage. no way to fix without nokia service.
2. Battery is dead. Try a new battery
3. Charger is bad. Try a new/different car charger or home charger.
These chargers are very inexpensive on Craigs List, try to solve it before throwing away the phone. Good luck,
A former Nokia employee.

Battery seems to be dead jump staring didn't help 2005 jetta

Battery can be so dead that it won't take a jump. If it is the original 5 year old battery, you would be well advised to scrap the battery. If it is newer than 5 years old, charge battery on a battery charger for enough time to properly charge it. Then test it. Still dead? Scrap battery.

That's all I can offer you as you don't say why you think you have a dead battery.

Dead battery for one unit won't charge at all. voltage -0- both radios and charger work fine. where can I get battery? P/N MN-160001 capacity 950mAh

First put the dead laptop battery in a zip lock.
Then put the zip into refrigeratory and keep it in freezer for 14 - 15 hours.
Afer waitinf for a long time, take the dead laptop battery out of refrigeratory .
Using clean and soft cloth to dry the battery and get the battery to room temperature (about 20° - 25°)
In the end fully charging and discharging the battery for 3 - 4 cycles.
Now you would see that your dead battery holding up charge for 1-2 hours.
