Bought a second Xbox controller. Won't sync with system.
I bought a 2nd controller for my brand new system. The 1st controller that came with the system syncs fine, but the 2nd one has all of the quandrants lit up and blinking and it isn't syncing. I used the batteries that came with the controller and then switched them for another pair. The problem persists and I'm thinking of bringing this controller back to Best Buy for exchange. Any suggestions?

If you have an xbox slim model then there is a button above the USB slots at the bottom. Press Start and Back on the controller until the center button lights up. Then press the button above the two USB solts and hold it for a couple secs.
If you have n old xbox there should be a simliar button some where.
Also if you bought one of the charging packs for the controller, use the cord that came with it.
Thank you for your time, Good luck and I hope it works.
I assume this is the one you bought separate. Well the problem is that you need to sync it. To sync it First you must Press and hold the tiny button in the front of the xbox next to the sd card slots for about 2 seconds. Then look at your controller and on the top of the controller next to the battery pack there is a tiny button similar to the one on the xbox. Press and hold until it flashes. then your controller should work.
On the xbox, there is a sync button, press and hold this. While holding this button, press the xbox botton on the remote, Continue to hold for 10 seconds. Now they should be synced up and ready to use.
You need to re-assign to the Wii. When you first bought it you pressed the button on the front of the Wii to configure controllers, then the controller buttons to find the Wii. When you change batteries you need to repeat this process as the 'memory' of the controller to the Wii has been wiped
If it's new the controller needs to be synced. 1st plug your controller into the ps3 using the usb cable that came with the system. Then turn on the ps3 then turn on the controller.
Once the controller is recongnized hold the PS button and in the controller settings menu choose to turn off the controller.
Unplug the controller and it should be synced.
It sounds like it needs syncing in. On the controller there is a little button between the LB & RB buttons, when pressed the the green LED ring will light up clockwise. At the same time press the sync button on the 360, just to the left of the power button, the green LED ring on the 360 will also light up clockwise, after a few seconds both controller and 360 should sync.
this can sometimes be the rf receiver on the from of the 360, it sounds like its faulty. to test this try a different wireless pad and if that wont attach properly then its def the rf receiver. we can fix this for £40 which includes a new rf receiever and return postage to your door.
You still have to hit the sync button on the controller and on the console to marry them. Just like when you first got the console. Just hit the small round button on the console that is between the memory card slot 2 and the power button, and the sync button on the top of your controller. The lights on both will spin then lock. They will be married and you will see the controller 2 light on on your ring.
Just press the sync button on your console and controller. The sync button on your console is located between the memory card slot 2 and power button. The sync button on yoiur controller is at the top.
