Practically since I bought my laptop, the WMP stopped working. I can't uninstall it, and attempting to reinstall it won't work because I get a message that tells me that it's already installed. How can I get it to work?
I would really appreciate some help. - JRN

have u download the 64bit drivers ? acer havent released windows 7 drivers for this model i recommend visting this acer link http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_8930.html choose the windows vista 64 bit sound driver once downloaded install ,if problem still persists then uninstall the driver then reinstall in compatability mode for vista ;) (rite click driver then properties and select compatability then choose vista and run as adminastrator ) hope this helps
Do an in-place reinstall, simply run the installer again and it will repair the existing installation. Sometimes if you go to add/remove programs and try uninstall from there you get a repair option, so try that first.
Could be driver problem. You can try reinstalling the driver for the device. If it's a vista system, you might want to run the executable file in administrator mode, or even change the compatibility to XP.
Uninstall the current installation of the device software.
Insert CD in CD-ROM
Right click on the setup file
Choose properties / Compatibility Tab
Set it to XP
and tick the box at the bottom run as administrator.
uninstall it and reinstall if you have not yet.if it still happens google InfraRecorder and down load it it is free and it works well. now if you still have a problem then it has to be your rewriter check your driver it working and the firmware is upto date. If it is all ok then you will have to replace your rewrite.andy

Goto Start - Programs - Recovery Manager - Recovery Manager. In that recovery manager, click on next. Its shows the Software reinstallation page.Click on next button two times. Its shows the software lists.Select the webcam software and click on next button. After reinstallation completed , u restart laptop and check it. If ur laptop have windows XP operating system then u uninstall the webcam software through Add/Remove program and restart it.After restarting ,Reinstall the web cam software and check it.
