Is the laptop dirty inside? Look at the grilled intake port on the bottom of the laptop, with a flashlight. If so the laptop needs to be partially disassembled, and cleaned with; A) Small soft brush, (Makeup brush?), B) Q-tips, and C) Can of compressed air for computers. FOLLOW Anti-Static Precautions, remove ALL power. [ AC adapter (Charger), and Battery ] When a Processor becomes too hot, (Exceeds it's Thermal Limit), it turns off. (BIOS turns it off) This is a fail safe feature that is built-in. Keeps the Processor from burning up. Will become too hot because the laptop is dirty inside, and the needed air for cooling, cannot reach the needed components. (Blocked by dirt, dust, hair, lint, food crumbs, you name it)

Problem programming timer settings. Is it supposed to be random or continuous?

1) Copy following link to identify timer and download possible manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#50006

2) How to set analog timers by experimenting with features:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-set-timers.html

3) 50001 timer is not random vacation timer like the 50003.
50000 series timers by Woods have 1 year limited warranty, and they are a new design released this year. However the analog timer design has been around for many years.

4) If timer is acting randomly, then
a) timer is defective,
b) the override switch is not fully positioned at 'timer on,'
c) segments are not lifted fully in position,

5) ... other more remote causes: outlet might not test 80% rated voltage?, outlet might have reversed polarity?

5) Try timer on different outlet with different light.

6) As the timer dial rotates, the segments push small lever, and the lever moves switch that turns lights on-off. I suppose if this lever was broken or switch was broken, then timer would act more randomly.

Is there a way to put the device on shuffle mode?

  • There is a random setting rather than a shuffle mode. Same thing just a different name.
  • While in the play mode menu press "PREV/NEXT" to select the desired repeat mode ie.
  • Normal, Repeat One, Repeat All, Random, Random All, Preview.
  • You want to choose "Random" or Random All" depending on
  • Random - All music is played randomly until all songs have been heard.
  • Random All - All music will play randomly until you turn the MP3 player off.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

How do I turn the Random play all off.

In the main menu, go to "settings," then "audio settings," and then "play mode." Scroll to "normal" and push the center button. This should fix your problem. When you turned on Random play all, it changed this setting to shuffle, so when you return it to normal, you should be good.
