S.yimg.com is controlling my Yahoo mail and slowing down my pc. How do I get rid of s.yimg?

s.yimg is a server for yahoo mail and is part of the yahoo mail process. First, make sure your internet browser is cleaned up. I like a product called cleanup from stephen gould. http://www.stevengould.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15&Itemid=69
Another popular product is ccleaner. They both will remove cluttered temporary internet files and cleanup cookies. This may help your slowness problem. Another thing to check is your DNS. I like to add Google's server 8.8.8.8 into the dns settings.

How to connect your Nintendo DSi to the internet

In this guide I will go over the steps you will need to take in order to connect your DSi to the internet. You must first be in range of a wireless access point in order to use it. If you do not have wireless internet at home, you can use local hot spots that do such as coffee shops and school libraries. <br /><br />-Turn on your DSi and click on the wrench icon which will take you to System Settings. <br />-Go to page 3 and select "Internet", and click on "Connection Settings"<br />-Click "None" to the right of "Connection 1"<br />-Click "Search for an Access Point"<br /><br />This will bring up any wireless access points within range of your DSi. Any access points that have a gold lock that is unlocked means this access point does not require a security key. If you are going to use a access point that requires a security key, you will need to enter this key in. <br /><br />-Go back to the "Connection Settings" page and select "Advanced Setup". You will then be prompted for your wireless access point security information. Enter it in here.<br /><br />Okay. You should be connected and ready to enjoy your DSi. Good luck! <br /><br />G33k

If it were me I would system restore before that time period and it would be your choice but I would uninstall spy sweeeper and reinstall. I'm assuming thats your firewall which if it is would definitely reinstall. (Not familiar with webroot).

I've installed security suites that have completely shut down my system and installed another.

Facebook is running to slow

Hi,

If when you view facebook it is slow to respond to your actions, go between pages etc this can be caused be any number of issues.

1) The facebook website is overloaded(to many visitors) and is running slow. There is really nothing you can do about this other than to voice your frustration at Facebook by contacting them. You will have to wait and try again at another time to see if it is running faster.

2) Your internet connection is experiencing high latency. You can check your internet connection by trying other websites. Are they going slow as well? If not, then you can really rule this problem out. If you do however experience slowness at other sites then you may be experiencing a degraded internet connection. I recommend a couple tips at this point,

--If you are downloading files from the internet, or have other computers or devices using your internet connection this can use up all your bandwidth and slow down your connection. Try disabling any other devices on your network to see if this helps. If you have a wireless home network and it is unsecured(no password set on wireless connection) then other people like neighbors may be using your connection. You will need to set a password on your router.

-Try to power cycle all of your network devices. Do it in this order - Turn off your internet modem, router and computer. After 10 seconds turn on your modem, after another 30 seconds turn on your router and after 30 seconds turn on your computer. Now try and see if your internet connection is improved.

-Check network cables and splitters. Make sure all of your cables are plugged in and firmly. If you have cable splitters, go ahead and unscrew the cables and screw them back in firmly.

-Lastly, contact your Internet Service Provider(ISP). Your ISP may be able to resolve the issue on their end or send a tech out to investigate the degraded internet connection.

3)Your computer may have performance issues. If a lot of programs are running on your computer this will obviously slow things down. Try stopping any additional programs and see if this helps.

Following rebuild of laptop i have downloaded internet explorer 8. The icon states "internet explorer 8 - without add ons" When opened the information bar states internet explorer operating...

Internet 8 has a compartibility requirement considering the operating systems of the computer, though to an extent the system settings that makes possible adjustments after installation. Once the software has been installed on the computer, any further add on softwares becomes impossible. Newer computers would allow every download especially from the internet onto computer storage with a message of malfunction thereafter. Internet 8 requires operating systems compartibilities to intergrate into the computer achieving additional software intergration. Consider using another internet browser as immediate alternative to resolving internet connectivity issues.
