My camera is showing Write protect error

I know this might sound like one of the error codes on pg 32 of the user manual but when i tried to change the properties of the folder of the memory of the camera (by unchecking the read only box) using the computer it changes temporarily and when i refresh it the card goes bacj into read only mode. when i format the card directly from the camera i can only open the camera shutter "once" to click snaps, the next time i open the shutter it goes into write protect mode. please help.... :(

Re: My camera is showing Write protect error

You format the card from the menu of the camera, and you open the camera moving the cover on the lens without doing nothing else before and the camera works again, I spend 3 hours with computer and camera and i luckily found the solution.

Re: My camera is showing Write protect error

You have to now FORMAT the card in the camera. You must never modify the card in a computer - apart from opening/closing a folder or moving files.

Camera showing system error C:32:01

The 32 in the error code indicates there is some trouble with the camera's hardware. The manual says turn the power off and on again. If that won't work, you also could try to remove the battery, after you switched off the camera. Because there is virtually nothing outside the camera, you could obstruct (like holding a lens) this could be a serious problem. Make sure you move the lens cover so it makes a click. And when having the battery out, please check all contacts in the camera, on the battery and on the memory card. Al contacts should be clean and shiny. Only to be cleaned with a dry cloth. Never use any sharp tool in or close to a camera or to its accessories.

I'm getting a r16 error on my D90

The "r16" in the display is not an error code. It is simply informing you of the number of exposures that can be held in the camera's internal high speed memory before shooting would have to stop while the D90 transfers the pictures to the memory card. If you held the shutter release, you could watch the r16 value decilne by one for each exposure (r15, r14, r13, etc.).

Page 256 of the D90 User's manual indeed shows the Err error code, and defines it as a "Camera Malfunction", "Release shutter. If error persists or appears frequently, consult Nikon-authorized service representative." The "err" error code is a generic error. The camera has detected a problem, but it doesn't know exacly what, similiar to the fEE code. The "err" code could be camera / lens contacts or it could be a circuit board or even shutter failure. You've already tried the common contact cleaning fix (that never seems to solve the problem) without any luck, so you might have to call Nikon Support and arrange for service.

Good luck!

I just purchased a new camera. The fujiiflm XP Finepix XP20 series. The user guide is useless and so is the CD. Nowhere does it show you where to plug in the USB cable on the camera nor does it tell you...

I don't know what user guide you're looking at but this is a very comprehensive guide. The parts of the camera are on pg.2&3 showing clearly #18 is the usb connector on the camera. Pgs. 53-59 describe the transfer procedure and installing the necessary software.

Manually how to solve the system error c:32:01 in sony H20 camera when opening video mode

The C:32:01 error code displayed on the Camera screen indicates the internal malfunction happened in the Camera. Try turning off and on the Camera to check if it works. If the issuer persists, perform the following steps:

Performing a manual power reset may help:

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.

To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the Main Settings Menu of the Camera to OK. This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.

Reset the camera to factory specifications to try resolving the issue.

Thanks for resolving the issue.

I just bought, last August, a Tasco Digital Trail Camera - 119223C . Took pictures until Jaunary 2011, my camera display shows Loc and the SD Card flashes. The instruction manual does not reference this setup code. Does anyone know what 'Loc' means? I tried to reformat card, I also so not get a Y/N option for formatting. I bought a new card and changed batteries. no change!
