I suggest going to the Acer Aspire website, downloading the drivers and transferring them over to your laptop using a USB drive. Once you get the network drivers installed, you can begin re-acquiring all the software that you lost due to your reinstall.
was you activate your wireless adapter?press Fn+F3 to activate
was you connect your acer to wireless network?
at windows xp : click network connection click show available network, chose the network name then click connect, open browser (internet explorer, mozilla firefox, etc) try to open page
at windows vista or windows 7: click at network connection, right click then chose connect to :
then chose the network name then click connect, open browser (internet explorer, mozilla firefox, etc) try to open page
You need your to connect your Aspire to a network on which there is a device that does have a CD drive. Share the CD drive with the network and you are home free.
That is how I get stuff onto my Aspire One.
As for connecting your cell phone to the device - sorry. I dont know how to do that.
If you need help with sharing your CD device or setting up a network, you can ask Windows how to do that. If you dont have a wireless router, you will need one. Oh yes, and a second computer. IF you dont have a second computer, borow one from a friend.
If you need more help ... Id like to give it a try.
If you already turn on manually your wifi(in front panel) you will need to go thru control panel, networks connections, chosse your wifi and mark a selection that performs your icen appears in your right corned.
Your laptop should pick-up and connect to the wireless connection automatically. Go into Control Panel and click on Networking. You should see the networks that you are able to connect to. But you need to know the name that was given to your network in order to connect to the correct one. If there are two or three names then some of those are your neighbors wireless. If you do not see any Networks to connect to, then repost because that means your network card is not working.
