Shower head pivot assembly is stuck

We can no longer adjust the angle of our shower head--the ball/socket-type pivoting mechanism is stuck in one position. Have tried WD-40 and soaking it in white vinegar but it won't budge.

SOURCE: No water flow through the showerhead bracket

blow air through the part that attaches to the bracket and see if there is any air coming out if not you probably have a clog in the tube or the head.

Hansgrohe shower head water leaking out of connector

Is it a Grohe or Hansgrohe shower head? If it is a Hansgrohe shower head the first thing to check is if the self sealing filter gasket is installed at the connection to the shower arm. Hansgrohe shower heads have a black self sealing filter gasket in the head that some people remove assuming it is a flow restriction device. It is only a filter and does not restrict flow unless clogged with debris. Next make sure the flow restriction device below the filter gasket is still installed. On some models removing the flow restrictor will cause water to be expressed from the air injection ports near the pivot ball. Feel free to contact me at Hansgrohe. 1-800-334-0455. Could i get a clear drawn instruction for putting the together the delta monitor 1800 series showerhead? The showerhead doesnt seem to fit on to the pivoting ball. Thankyou

My first instinct from your description is that the arm that comes out the wall to put shower head on has a rounded ball as a part of it with no threads on it. If so, it needs to be replaced with a standard shower arm with threads on both ends to acccomodate your new head.

Have an assistant push in on the clutch while you observe the function of the cluth throwout bearing lever, it may be that the throwout bearing fork lever is not on its pivot point or is out of adjustment, you should be able to rotate the rear tires when the clutch is pushed in if not the throw out bearing and fork assembly either was not put in corectly or you did not bleed out the air from the slave cylinder.

  1. NOTE: During installation, it is necessary to pull the locking tab out to its full open (unlatched) position and hold while assembling the pivot arm onto the mounting arm and pivot shaft. Align the key on the pivot arm head with the keyway on the shafts. This will make sure the pivot arm is correctly aligned. If necessary, the key can be removed. To adjust wiper pivot arms, refer to Wiper Blade and Pivot Arm Adjustment in this section.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
