How to find drain filter to clean out machine making funny sounds

follow the steps below to get to the bottom of the problem.
1 Turn off your machine Before doing any sort of maintenance on your washing machine, you should turn it off and fully unplug it. If your machine is mid cycle when it starts to play up, follow advice in your washing machine's instruction manual for stopping and draining it.
2 Check the rubber door seal and drum Items that get into the drum can cause both strange sounds and a number of problems. most common culprits are coins and bra wire. Mostly coins remain in the drum or caught in the rubber seal - so these are the first places to check.
3 Check the lint filter Some items loose in the machine can work their way down to the lint filter.
hope this helps but if not follow the video on the link below.

Clinking sound in a Siemens WFXD5200UC/01 front loading washer

I would suggest that a small thin metal item has got into the outer drum unit. This is the space between the internal spinning drum and the outer casing. This can sometimes happen by the object passing between the rubber door seal and the drum. Not easy to get out, however if it is small enough it may eventually find its way into the pump filter trap. There is a small round cover plate at the bottom right hand side of the machine. Behind the cover is the filter trap, open it up (when machine empty) and check for the object every so often. To open the filter turn the plug cover about a third anticlockwise and it should release. Pull gentle on the plug to remove from the machine.

Front loader? Coins do get into the baffles. They may be riveted on. I would leave it alone, personally.

Where is the filter on my wf740 hotpoint

Maybe something jambed in pump, lint , coin or similar. Just fixed my LG machine coin in pump..Unsure of layout on Hotpoint but simply follow drain hose to pump.

Sounds like coins between the basket and drum. How do I remove the coins?

If it has baffles for washing, check to see if you can lightly press the baffle to one side (press firm but don't snap it out) while rotating the drum by hand. I do this with my Whirlpool Duet and the coins eventually just slide out and into the drum where I can see them.

User manual needed

Hi there at great risk of sounding a cad..(.was this cash or a cheque) doubt very much if its anywhere under the drum....if it WAS in the pocket it would still be there crushed and a little discoloured..had got into the drum it would have blocked the filter .IF he was paid in coins then youd have stopped tthe machine..

LG front load washer A coin fell in between drum and housing.coin rubs on drum while spinning. how do you access the area between the drum and housing?

take off the front panel

on the bottom/front of the drum is the heater- held in with 10 mm nut - slacken the nut- this will loosen the heater in its holder- pull out the heater- this gives you access to the bottom of the tank

Coin trapped between rotating drum and casing

Get underneath the machine and remove the big black house coming directly out of the drum, this is held in place with either a screw tie or pinch type tie.
Put the machine back level and see if the coins drop out (they should) or have a feel around inside the drum.
Please make sure machine is unplugged and empty before carrying out this procedure.
Some water will come out of hose.

I cant get the filter out of my washing machine help please

you probably have something like a bra wire jammed in there. no option but to pull real hard with a pair of pliers.
smell is not caused by filter. often smell is due to using liquid detergent. after you have done filter, put on the hottest wash and change to powder detergent
