Question about Tefal Ultraglide 1549 Iron
I have a Tefal Pro Express, and the steam will not switch off. Normally you have to depress the button on the grip to produce steam, but the steam is constant, running thro water quickly and steaming up the kitchen. Any ideas?
Found this on another site and just tried it. Put 50/50 water and vinegar in the tank and leave it to go through on the constant steam. Give it about 5 minutes then try the button. Mine gave an extra spurt of steam at this point but still continued giving steam out all the time. I refilled with the water vinegar mix and just kept pressing the steam button and letting it go through. Eventually it fixed it and the constant steam stopped. Something to do with a piece of limescale blocking the solenoid but that's all Greek to me! Hope this helps. Kind regards.
