P7 bottom element

Hi, I have a GE oven with the bottom element not working. The oven has P7 on it, that's the only clue I have on the model. Is there a replacement part for this?

Open the door and look for a slim, plate in the op right corner of the trim that the door would touch, if it were closed. It should be held on with 2 screws and have the model and serial numbers along with voltage. The element can be removed with a socket wrench (1/4 size), and costs about $45 delivered from pcappliancerepair.com . You'll need to unscrew the screws on the inside, back wall and then pull the element out about 2 inches, so that you can unscrew the connectors.

Want to download a user's guide/manual for an old wall mount double oven from the 70's. I believe it is a P7!

If im not mistaken the P7 was a General Elecrtic oven?
the FULL exact model number is needed to downlaod a manual and chanches a manual for a30- 40 year oven will not be on the net. If its GE find the full entire model number and go here to try to download that manual http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/

GE Electric Spectra Oven botton element will not heat

If only one element does not work, then test heating element continuity using a multimeter.
If oven does not bake or broil, then test temp probe.
If there is nothing wrong with elements and temp probe , then test wiring harness to control panel and timer control board.

Enter the model number on one of two websites below to get parts and diagrams for your appliance:

I have a GE Profile Gas/Electric Oven Range that has stop working

P7 means Shorted Matrix Key. Power down and power up control. If the fault condition reappears within 15 minute - replace control. I got this off a wiring diagram that was in an envelope attached to my range.
