1. Insert a DVD Movie into the PlayStation®2. 2. You should receive a
message informing you that the Parental Level has been set, and asking
if youý"d like to allow the disc to play. Highlight "Yes" and then press
the X button. 3. A new window will appear asking you to temporarily
change the Parental Control to a different level. Again, highlight
"Yes", and then press the X button. 4. Another window will appear asking you to enter your Password. Above that window are numbers (0-9). 5.
Do not enter your password, but instead, press the select button on
your Controller. This will change the text in the window from "Enter
Password" to "Delete Password". 6. Using the numbers above the window, input 7444. If successful, you will receive a message stating "Deletion Complete". 7. Press Select. You will now be asked to register a new password. Please select a four-digit code of your choosing. 8.
You will be asked to confirm your password selection by inputting the
same code once again. If successful, you will receive a message stating
"Registration Confirmed". 9. Now you need to turn off the password
altogether. The movie should of started playing by now. Press select and
chose Setup. Go to the parental control "tab" and set the level to
"off". 10. Now you should be able to watch any movie

try the password 0000 it is very common. If not watch a movie with the lowest rating possible. then you wont need the password and when the movie is on you can change it somehow. or at least when it is in. I know ive had this problem years ago and i changed it somehow
Step 1 Place a DVD that prompts you for your password in your PS2. If you have any R rated DVDs sitting around, one of those should work just fine. It should prompt you for the password before anything else comes up. Step 2 Select "Yes" to playing the movie and select "Yes" again to temporarily suspend parental controls. This is where you would put in the password if you knew it and the DVD would play. You may try "1111" at this point, as it is often the password. If that doesn't work, continue through the next few steps. Step 3 Press the "Select" button on the screen that wants you to input the password. This should change the text on the screen from "Enter Password" to "Delete Password." Step4 Input the numbers "7444" into the box on the screen. This is the universal password needed to delete the current password. Once you input the numbers, you should get a message that says "Deletion Complete." Press the "Select" button again and you should be prompted to enter a new password. Step5 Enter a new password for your parental control. Make sure it is something easy that you will remember. Once you enter it in, you will be asked to confirm your new password. Enter it one more time and you should be able to watch any DVD you want. hope it helps!please rate if it does!
i don't know if you changed the parental control code or not but when it comes to put the code press select and then insert 7444 and it will delete the password and will ask you to put the new one then add any three digit number and then when the movie starts press select and go to setup and then parental control tab and turn it off now there will be no passwords..........

Start a DVD, bring up the menu with select, and then go to Setup. It's in there. To get it to actually save, eject and take out the DVD (kicking it back to the setup screen) before you turn the power off
when you are watching any dvd, hit select on the controller to bring up the onscreen menu. on the menu, under the number 7, there is a icon called setup. click it. hit right on the digital pad (on the controller) two times and you will be at custom setup. now, go down to the parental controll part and set it up to your liking.
While in the "custom settings/parental control" options press SELECT and enter the 4-digit number "7444" whenever the parental control display asks you for your password. the old password will then be deleted.
