SOURCE: kenmore oven: glass dome for interior light removal

Hopefully someone answered your question by now. If not, the glass bulb cover sticks sometimes, but it does turn counterclockwise. Be firm with it, let it know who's boss. Once you've removed it, you can replace the 40 watt appliance bulb. (The manual suggests you unplug the range or disconnect power for your safety). Good luck.

You don't need to slide the oven out, just remove the glass covers with a flat bladed screwdriver and then unscrew the old bulbs. Replacement is the opposite.
Bulbs available from Homebase, Wickes, BandQ etc etc.

SOURCE: Double Oven Bulb is stuck in socket

The best thing to do is to grip the bulb with a pair of grips with a cloth rond the bulb and try twisting it out that way.
Don't worry if you break the bulb as all you have to do then is twist the remains of the bulb base out with a thin pair of grips..
You can safley spray it with WD40 , it is not a fire risk..
PLEASE ENSUREN YOU HAVE THE POWER OFF.

Plz rate my solution, and feel free to leave antycomments.
Thanks.

The glass cover does come off. Use some latex gloves or non skid material and grasp the lens firmly and turn counter clockwise.

I was cleaning inner glass on oven door & it fell out . how do i fix it pls

Tecnik was a brand used by Moben kitchens who went bust so Tecnik are a non brand now. You may find a kitchen appliance engineer who would pop in and assist but don't hold your breath if it fails later. As a result there are no handbooks to download. Sorry.

Zanussi oven zbf 360 + bulb blows repeatedly

bulbs blow from incorrect voltage in use or loose ground wires ( arcing out)
if they fail while the oven is on it is because the bulb construction glass is wrong
bulbs used in ovens need a special heated treated glass and are generally only available from the service agent
failing immediately on turning on indicates a bigger problem that the bulb so call in an electrician to test the system

I need some help please, The bulb has gone in my oven! how do I change this and where would I get a bulb? The oven is a candy and the model number is FPP403.

Most ovens use appliance bulbs that can be purchased at any home improvement store. Open oven and locate the glass protective cover and remove it. Remove bulb and replace w/new one, place protective cover back.

How do I change the lightbulbs in the oven

Make sure the oven is off and cool (turn off the circuit breaker). Wear a leather glove to protect your hand. Depending on your model, there may be a glass shield held by a metal holder over the lamp. In the case of a unit with this holder, press on one side to release the shield and remove it. Remove the bulb by turning it counter-clockwise. Replace with a 40 W appliance bulb (turn clockwise). Replace the glass shield and the holder. (On some oven models, the shield will twist on and off like a bulb.)

There are several models of Kenmore 47783 Ovens; manuals are available here: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/search?query=Kenmore+47783 .

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(please note: never operate the oven without the shield in place if your oven has one.)

The oven light is out

Facing the head of the bulb...away from the base...turn it counterclockwise....that is..to the left. If you like, use a rubber glove to protect your hands in case it shatters. Use a slight jerking motion to break it free.
Right when you're trying to remove an old light bulb, it breaks on you, leaving a base stuck inside the socket. Here's how to remove it quickly and safely.
Step1Turn off power to the bulb and unplug the lamp. Step2Put on protective gloves. Step3Grip the metal lip of the bulb with needle-nose pliers. Step4Gently unscrew the bulb base, turning it the same way you would an unbroken bulb. Watch your fingers while turning the bulb base. Sheered glass remnants may still be inside. Step5Remove the bulb base from the socket. Step6Be sure to vacuum up any broken glass from the floor.
