The older sony sets had a reset move: set off, menu, 5, volup, power then 8 and enter, not sure if it works for this unit.

Stuck in video1 and video 6 mode. Can't get to tv

ok, all sony sets for the last 20 years or so have had a reset feature that ought to clear this up:

Set turned off and using Sony original remote:

Display, 5, volume up, power-----listen carefully this should take you to the tech menu.

hit 8 and reset should appear on the screen in red

hit enter and the reset should turn to green and set shut off.

Turn back on and see if it cured the issue or not.

My SONY KV32FS13 DO NOT HAVE IMAGEN ON THE SCREEN NO GET ANY CHANNEL OF TV OR CABLE ONLY WORK WITH DVD EVERY TIME WHEN TURN ON COME OUT NO SIGNAL.

Try pressing Tv/Video on the remote control and see if it doesn't switch input modes. If it doesn't, follow these steps:

1) Press the menu button

2) Navigate over to Channel Setup

3) Move down to Video Label and select it

4) Make sure none of the video inputs are labeled "SKIP". If so then do the following

5) Highlight the input labeled "SKIP" and select it

6) Use the up and down arrows and you should see a different name for the input. This will enable the selected input to be used.

7) Exit the menu by pushing the menu button on the remote.

8) Press Tv/Video on the remote and you should see the other stuff (cable, vcr, xbox, etc.).

Mode for playback of older 8mm tapes using Sony DCR-TRV730 ?

In 1990s Sony camcorder records movie in analog format so playing in digital camcorder like DCR-TRV730 doesn't mean it will be converted in digital format and you can not import file in PC for editing purpose. You will get analog signal while playing back old cassettes.

Regarding SP, LP speed, its decided at time of recording. Camera sens SP or LP automatically in playback and set itself accordingly.

If you want to convert old cassettes into digital format, connect our camcorder to DVD recorder and burn DVD which is digital format, copy DVD files in to PC and do desired editing.

Tryed to reboot my computer and only getting a message saying video mode not supported

When you turn on your computer, press the F8 key to bring up the safe mode menu. Select enable VGA mode, which will put your computer into 40 x 480 mode. Once you're in windows, you can select a video resolution that your monitor will support.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya. Thank you.

Demonstration mode

Hold L1, R1, and "select" , and "square" simultaneously when the security settings icon is selected in the settings menu. Then it'll ask for you to input a code. In this case it's 5-6-6-8 (FIRMWARE 1.5), This will unlock it from demonstration mode. Do this every time you need it

FOR FIRMWARE 2.10 USE 2-4-6-4
YOU CAN ALSO TRY
5-2-0-2
8-6-0-4
5-6-6-8 ya i got one too, sell it on ebay you will get like 200 for it. of you can go to infetus.com and google search their product infectus2 chip and buy it from some where in the E.U. then sadder the chip with wires.... just look at these.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVnMb2YwGu8
