Frigadaire Dishwasher PADLOCK Icon lit, dishwasher won;t run

If the oven display is showing LOC, then the lockout feature was enabled. Press and hold the key pad with the padlock symbol for 3+ seconds. This is just below the Timer On/Off key pad and to the right of the Light key pad. You should see the word DOOR and the padlock icon flash until the door is unlocked and the control panel is released.

If the word DOOR and the padlock icon are lit, then the oven is in the self-clean mode. The lock should release after you cancel the self-cleaning cycle by pressing off and the oven cools down (at least one hour). Unfortunately, sometimes the heat of the self-clean cycle will damage the oven. Either the oven temperature sensor will not give the release signal or the door lock will not disengage. In that case, the oven needs to have the correct part serviced.

Press and hold lock button for 3-5 seconds. Lock button is usually the heat dry button. Should have a little padlock symbol next to it. If that doesn't work, control panel is bad.

Hold the heat dry/ lock button down for atleast 10 seconds. That should turn the option off. If that does not work then turn the breaker off for atleast 10 minutes then turn the breaker back on,. this will reset the dishwasher placing everything back to the original settings.

press and hold HEATED DRY selector for 5 seconds

Hold down the heated dry button for 5-7 seconds. (one with the padlock icon). This toggle off the lock feature.

you have engaged teh lock out feature, simply push in the control lock button for 3 secs to unlock not a problem! look close at the buttons,ones marked "contol lock" in small print under it, usually the heat dry button

PRESS AND HOLD THE KEY WITH THE LOCK UNTIL THE LOCK LIGHT GOES OUT.

Pushing and holding the 'Heated Dry' button should turn off the light over the padlock symbol and get you going again.

How old is the dishwasher? Check the front control panel for a AIR DRY / HEAT DRY switch. Perhaps the switch is in the AIR DRY position. If so and you really want to HEAT DRY your dishes, set the switch for HEAT DRY. Otherwise: Second, it is not a bad thing to let your dishes AIR DRY. It saves money! Just open the Dish Washer door after the last rinse cycle has finished and let the dishes AIR DRY manually. In a hour or so they can usually be put away. Works for me :)
