That would depend on if you have a regular home sewing machine or a embroidery machine. I'm going to assume that you have a regular machine.

There is something called free hand embroidery. you lower or disengage the feed dogs, take off the presser foot. Some use a darning foot and others just leave the foot off. Hopefully your design is already marked on the fabric. Place fabric in a regular hand embroidery so they fabric is right side up but the hoop makes it sit down in the rings. (make sense) Fit your hoop on the bed of the sewing machine, under the presser foot/presser foot bar. Lower the presser foot lever. (important for tension) and select stitch style and length. you may need to adjust tensions too.

Begin stitching, take a couple stitches... then reverse a couple... then snip the loose ends. Continue to stitch, guiding the hoop so that the needle follows the design. Start slowly and as you discover how your hand movements effect the length of the stitches... you can speed up and slow down as you need to create your design.

I have a rose embroidery machine which I haven't used for a while and when I try to embroidery, it will only go as far as the 3rd design and only stitch the first color. What can I do

Hello

The machine is indicating that it "wants" you to move the hoop into position P2 or P3 according to what is blinking. This is normal.

Once that colour is completed stitching, the machine will communicate again for the nest Position.

Singer 6268 won't work

since your having such problems with the machine, my suggestion would be to take it to a repair shop & let them look at it.
for a computerized part of a machine it depend on the name & model number. & if a generic part will fit on the machine.
the question is what would the cost of repairing the machine--viruses a new sewing machine, good luck with your decision

After using the embroidery hoop you can not sew in regular mode, feed dogs does not come up and moved the cloth.

My Janome has a metal slide switch for lowering the feed dogs on the base of the machine in front.

Have you raised the feed downs again? Otherwise, turn off so that the current stich selected resets, and then turn on and select straight stich. Try again.

Will not embroidery

Hi,

Presuming that you know how to correctly operate this machine, this does not sound good. Most often it is an electronic board that has failed. If so, it will be expensive to fix.

Good luck!
