Another alternative is, you can take the phone to any authorize phone service center to help unlock the phone, this is not what you can do yourself, because to unlock your phone, you will need some kind of software, USB cable etc to unlock the phone, so you can also go a nearby phone service center to unlock the phone, but calling your network service provider is the best because they have the records of your phone and can easily help to unlock it. My wifes Comeback had the same problem, for roughly 6 mos. in 2009. The problem was addressed but not resolved by T-Mobile tech support at 611 customer service. They tried master reset on the phone itself, then a different (new) SIM card, and then tried to re-provision the phone to no avail. I finally took the SIM card out of my phone and tried it in hers and it worked fine when I tried to send or receive pictures from her phone. It was finally handed over to engineers to work on and after a month or two, with no notice from them, and several calls from us as to when we could expect a resolution, it finally began working. F.Y.I. - Others have posted here, unresolved problems with their Comebacks being plugged up but not charging, and not being able to make calls. My wife's phone is having this issue now. The contract does not run out 'till Oct. and we didn't take out the replacement insurance. It may be a battery issue, we don't know at this point. Bottom line, if you can get out from under this phone, Do it immediately. It's not worth the hassle we've endured.
