Question about Casio FX-115ES Scientific Calculator

I am in a statistics class and I bought this calculator to help me. Can I calculate the p-value on it? If so, how?

Press MODE 3 AC to enter the statistics mode. Press SHIFT STAT 7 to bring up the distribution menu then 1 to invoke P( .

**Yes you can** get your p-values (see solution post). Options 1, 2, 3 assume that you are dealing with a standard normal distribution or you have calculated z-values (standard scores) for any other normal distribution. Option 4 calculates the z-values for you.

Be aware of *what type* of p-value (probability under the normal distribution) you want to calculate. Option 1 (P) gives you the total probability up to your z-value, option 2 (Q-quantile) gives you the probability from the mean to the z-value and option 3 (R-rest) the probability of values *above *the z-value. The latter is most often of interest in stats. So if you type in R(1.96) that gives you a p=0.025 above the z-value (don't forget that you also have a p=0.025 for the negative z-value on the left side of the normal curve). So values outside of +/- 1.96 standard deviations occur at p= 0.05 or 5% of the time.

Hi,

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Good luck!

SOURCE: How do i calculate limits on my Casio fx-115es?

Sorry, but you cannot calculate limits of functions with this calculator. It does not have a Computer `Algebra System (CAS). For that you need a graphing calculator with CAS: Casio ClassPad 300, 300PLUS, 330, HP 48 GII, HP49 G/ G+, HP 50G, TI-NSPIRE CAS, TI89 Titanium, TI 92/92PLUS, TI Voyage 200 PLT. It is still a very good scientific (non graphing) calculator

However, you can calculate numerical derivatives, and numerical integrals, solve linear and non-linear equations.

Even though this post does meet your expectations, do not let that prevent you from rating it.

SOURCE: where is the exponent key

To raise 10 to an exponent, use the 10^x function (SHIFT log). To raise e to an exponent, use the e^x function (SHIFT ln). To raise an arbitrary value to an exponent, use x^y (just above the sin key). To enter an exponent of ten, use the x10^x key to the right of the decimal point.

Z-score=(X-mu)/(sigma_d)

**(X-value - mean value)/(standard deviation)**

There is no such button. You must figure out the formula and enter it, giving the appropriate value for the annual interest and the number of years (15).

You can combine all the feet together 10+5+11=26 feet

Combine all the inches together -3-4-11=-18 inches=-2 ft + 6 inches

26 ft -2ft +6 inches =24 ft +6 in=24.5 ft

You can also multiply each inch -value by 1/12

10-3/12+5-4/12+11-11/12=10+5+11 -(3+4+11)/12=26-18/12, continue

There must be an error in what you report. You pressed MODE then 4: Base-N and now your calculator is in base-N calculation mode (the DEC, Hex, BIN, OCT) numeration keys are active.

To do statistics you must put the calculator in STATS mode.

Press MODE: You have 6 computational modes to choose from

1: COMP, the general computational mode

2:CMPLX, for calculation s with complex numbers,

3: STAT for statistics,

4: Base-N, binary, octal, decimal, and hexadecimal numeration

5: Equation, solving mode, etc..
